Pakistan: Medical Aviation Services Supports Princely Air Ambulance
Following the sale of Bo 105 G-PASG by Medical Aviation Services (MAS) to Princely Jets of Pakistan last December, MAS has entered into a support agreement to assist in the start-up of the Princely Air Ambulance.
The Princely Air Ambulance will be Pakistans first privately operated air ambulance operation designed to provide a HEMS service under contract to corporations in the region.
Under the support agreement, MAS, which is part of the Specialist Aviation Services Group, is providing maintenance, technical support and type conversion training. The training is being carried out in the UK on the aircraft before it is then exported and put into operation in Pakistan in the coming months. Last week, MAS successfully completed conversion courses for the first two of the six helicopter pilots selected by Princely for the operation.
In addition, MAS is hosting representatives from the Pakistani CAA so they can endorse the EASA based training and to enable the aircraft, which will be a new type for Pakistan, to be registered and operated there.
This contract adds to the significant number of air ambulance operations which Medical Aviation Services already supports including, in the UK, Londons Air Ambulance.
