Damn! You're right. They have certainly done their homework producing a digitized representation of Thunder. And if they are using F-18 to take it down.... they are showing it a lot of respect. I got confused earlier because this scene happens super, super fast.

Because it's a tv show; probably made by people who have no knowledge of aircombat.
