Wasn't PA going for a Z-10 and T-129 heavy-light combination?

Why this sudden change?

. . .
These are for ssg centric opps and narcotics opps, t 129 and z10s are for gunship role.

Pretty hefty for a special forces unit carrier don't you think? A more agile and lighter option for SSG would be more practical as they need swift movement and rapid infil/exfil options.

Its a flying tank mate its supposed to look hefty but performance wise its faster than the mi 17 used right now by ssg, mi 17 clocks at 240 kph while mi 35 does over 300 coupled with that its provides addtional armour against assaults from the ground and frees up resources currently employed. A usual ssg team carried in an mi 17 has to be accompanied by 2 cobras while this baby doesnt need cobras to watch its back. It can insert a team and then stay around to watch over them. Anyways they will be employed in opps that suit their capabilities, every opp differs from another n a trillion ways.

 then why u use them in pathankot attack and uri attack?

This can be escorted with the T-129's or maybe Z-10's

We didn't use Mi-35s in any counter-terrorist operation. Mi-17s were used to bring security forces to Mumbai during the terrorist attack there.

I think you are mixing it up

The issue is Pakistan has been training with the US and they have a special unit which uses an Mi-35 for this kind of role. PA SSG liked it and they opted for it and have used it in many operations without major loses hence they have opted for more...It is presumed no more that 20 in all will be procured but in small batches of 4.

This is based on tactics learnt from fighting militants dug in on hill tops. You go in guns blazing to provide cover for the soldiers to disembark. If Indian had taken this approach in Kargil Indians would not have such a high casualty rate.
