Pakistan, Iran connected by inseparable bonds: Imran Khan

Urdu is a persianized form of Hindustani language (not hindi) which was spoken 1000 years ago.

Those 2 ethnicity make upto 30-40 % of your country right ?

Yes we are different groups but Pashtun and Baloch are common. Modern day iran has no pashtun tribe in it but I am talking about iranian people in general not the modern day iran state.

Achamenied
Selucid
Parthian
Sassanid
Ghorid
.....
Some dozen more I guess ... I can post maps if you want.
Yes you are correct.

We also are Muslim countries, so the two countries are sympathetic to each other.

. . .
Same for your country. It has a great history that a person can feel proud of.

Iran Zindabad, Pakistan Zindabad.

I hope these minimal political difference are resolved. We have some shared history for thousands of years. 20-30 years do not matter in that much time period.

Zindabad for both countries !

Agreed with you bro. May Allah give both our countries prosperity and peace.

No you're not. None of those ancient peoples were South Asians or had any connection to your people except for maybe conquering some Indian kingdoms.

Parthians were from northeast Iran, they came from what is today known as Semnan in Iran. They have nothing to do with Pakistanis and Indians.

Likewise Scythians were a distant cousin people of Iranians, they had nothing to do with Pakistanis except for raiding and attacking northwest India sometimes.

Hephthalites were invaders and nomads from the Asian steppe that didnt even exist when the Achaemenids were around. They came much later. They had more in common with Chinese and Mongolians than with you.

Ok. So why were you lying about ancient Iranian and steppe peoples then? Iranians dont have anything to do with some 'IVC' or 'Harrapa' people. They werent Iranian.

I didnt 'lump' you with anyone btw. That's just history and reality that 'lumps' you to India.

The Old Persian word for what is today southern and central Pakistan is 'Hindush' from which you get the later words Hendu (Indian / South Asian) and Hendustan (India / South Asia) in Middle Persian.

There is an article on the topic of the Persian conquest of Indians in the book 'The World of Achaemenid Persia: History, Art and Society in Iran and the Ancient Near East' that discusses this topic and analyzes the written sources and the archaological record for the Persian invasion and extraction of tributes, taxes and servants etc from Hindush, Sattagydia and other types of Indian (ie, todays Pakistan).

I believe your country is half Indus valley civilization and other half is southern Iranic plateau.

Other than the southern Iranian groups like Baloch or Pashtun (unmixed with indus DNA of southern pakistan) none of the larger ethnic groups in Pakistan are Iranic. There might be some ancient Iranic gene among the Indo Sychtian tribes or Elam Iran to Indus valley but that seems to be diluted now because the phenotypically usual pakistanis look just like north indians rather than Iranians. Off course the iranic pashtuns or baloch (unmixed ones) would show the Iranid, east side irano-afghan, southern iranid phenotype. That is just phenotype. DNA of Iran and Pakistan are different. Elam, Aryans, Sychtians, Hephthalites, Turko-Iranians have migrated/invaded for more than 2 millenia so obviously there might be some occurrence of Iranic gene.

We don't tell Iran about their heritage, so don't tell us about who we are. Alot of Iranians have misconceptions about Pakistanis. We are not Hindus, just as Iranians are not Arabs.

Take a look at some maps of Parthians, Scythian, Hepthalite kingdoms. Pakistan was also under Alexander the Great and Greeks who intermarried and settled in Afghanistan/Pakistan. Just like Iran, we were under Mongol rule and influence and subsequent Turkish dynasties.

There is no excuse for not knowing Pakistani history and heritage on a Pakistani forum.

They are brain washed about us, but they should tell us if they can kiss Indian a$$ so deep than what's wrong with ours!

Yes, these secular nationalist Persians are no better than the Arab secular nationalists.

.
We're cousins and permanent neighbours, loooong long before islam came. So islam has nothing to do with out relation. It's just a new layer of culture. Maybe after 1000 years we believe in something else, but we stay cousins with related history, culture and language.

.
Pashtuns and Baloch are iranic group by culture, origin and DNA.

Bro they're "Iranic" because the languages they speak come from what scholars in the 19th and 20th centuries identified as an Iranian family tree of languages. 'Iranic' isnt really a racial or cultural marker. It was a term made-up by linguistics from Europe that studied languages.

If you look at the history of Balouch people for example they dont have a common ancestral origin and are a mixed people. The original ones were western Iranian nomads like a 1000 years ago that ended up migrating to the borderlands of Iran and India. But today many people that call themselves Balouch are clearly not related to those original Iranian tribes by ancestry but are some kind of indigenous remnant population plus Gypsy type tribes that originated from India. This is especially true on the Pakistan side of Balouchestan where lots of them look like Indians / Gypsies and you can hear the Indian influence in their dialects. On the coastal areas some of the Balouch have African ancestry and other ones claim to have an ancestral connection to Omanis and other Arabs (may or may not be true, but probably is for a small number of Balouch).

It's similar with Pashtons. They're culturally a distinct people that is why in Iranian history we called them Afghans and they are classed as a foreign, non-Iranian people in the Shahnameh.

Both of those peoples are historically tribal confederations that dont all have a single ancestral origin. That's the nature of migratory and semi-nomadic tribal confederations are.

Urdu has nothing in common with Hindi. We are completely different to Indians.
That's just a lie. Those two languages are pretty much the same. I even saw a travel vlog from a guy who had learnt Hindi that visited Pakistan and everyone there understood him. He even said himself that when learning the two languages they're basically the same.

This is the one:

Dude, just stop. Stop lying to yourself and stop trying to relate yourself to people that invaded and conquered your ancestors. I never saw this with any other nationality of people so desperate to deny who and what they are and try to take pride in being ruled by foreigners that have nothing to do with their own race and people...

Anyone with a brain can see how closely connected Pakistanis are with Indians by race, language, culture and history.

But you want to talk about Alexander the Great some 2300 years ago and a few Greek invading soldiers or something? That's just sad.

Also Mongols? You think you're part Mongol too? lol. Amazing.

This my view also. All of Pakistan is ethnically the same, and related even in our languages.

Some people claim False narratives about Pakistan and its history for political means, mostly Afghans and Indians.

Pukhtoon and Baloch are just as similar to each other as to Punjabis, Sindhis, and Kashmiris. We are linked together by 7,000 year old bonds from the IVC, Gandhara, Greek, Scythian, Parthian, and Hepthalite eras.

Only people who don’t understand Pakistan claim otherwise.

——-

Anyway back to the topic. Pakistan and Iran are similar nations as far as culture and language, we should improve contacts and form alliances against our enemies.

In my opinion also big part of India and Afghanistan are our cousins. I'm talking about proto-Indo-Iranians who became what is today known as India, Pakistan , Iran, Afghanistan etc. Some of us have political differences today, but it's better to be objective about history.

Do you think that you are part English too since they also conquered and ruled Hindush? :P

No we're not. I saw some clips from Pakistani tv and movies a few times and they were uber Indian in style, language and looks. Also the food is like 100% Hindo tasting and smelling.

Just this summer the BBC put on an entire season of programming dedicated to the culture of Pakistan/India/Bangladesh people and their immigrant community in the UK and they are nothing like Iranians.

we should improve contacts and form alliances against our enemies.

I agree but in reality we have different enemies so that wont happen.

Your enemies are India and Afghanistan. We dont have problems with Afghanistan or India. India is an important consumer of Iranian oil and around 15% to maybe even 20% of Afghanistan has an ethnic relationship with Iran (Tajiks). Iran is also an important investor in Afghanistan's reconstruction in the western part of that country and also in Kabul.

Our enemies on the other hand are Saudi Arabia, UAE, Israel and the US. Pakistan is a client state of the US and subordinate of Saudi Arabia who feeds millions of your people and dictates your energy policy whether it is good business practice for you or not.

Pakistan is too poor and backwards to break away from anti-Iran cliques with power like Saudi and Israeli controlled US officials. Just being real.

In my opinion also big part of India and Afghanistan are our cousins. I'm talking about proto-Indo-Iranians who became what is today known as India, Pakistan , Iran, Afghanistan etc. Some of us have political differences today, but it's better to be objective about history.

U r wrong,,,u read wring history.Pakistanis r a martial bhayya race,,,who fought bravely with each n every invader,,almost winning every time but eventually lost coz of the treachery of few,,n also coz native kings were always treating thm badly so they wanted regime change,,otherwise they always strong martial race,,there bravery was so phenomenal tht every time invaders were impressed by thr valor n gave thr daughters to these martial bhayya people for marriage.this is how Pakistan got its genetic diversity,,,,True story
Most Pakistani bhayyas have persian, arab, turkish, central asia or nordic ancestry,,,,,absolutely nothng to do with north India or any India for tht matter.
So they r right in claiming tht they r same ppl as Iranians

Are you ignorant or what?

Urdu and Hindi has huge differences in vocabulary.

You don't know what you are talking about.

Lol bro.
Pakistanis only share religion with Iran. Not much more. Even then there are differences.

We Pakistanis are different to Indians. We Pakistanis have a unique identity.

.
Who cares Pakistanis or Iranians are different or not, just listen to what Imran Khan said for god sake stop arguing races where it's not even mentioned.
