PIA service is now pathetic .. only five, six years ago (in Musharraf era, when Shaukat Aziz included Boeing 777 in the fleet) i loved to travel via PIA only.. but now.. no way!! flights late.. no maintenance of air crafts.. engineering and technical issues..

I flew the B-777 for a while... tremendous airplane. The 777 engines are some of the largest gas turbine engines flying today. The Rolls-Royce Trent can produce over 100,000 pounds of thrust. Compare that to an F-16 engine which can do 20,000 lb dry, non-afterburning. Each Trent is like FIVE F-16's, so the pair is like having TEN F-16's powering the 777!

A recent flight on PIA's 310 was ok.. I would say better than the other local airlines.. although the feel was still very early 90's..
I have to say though.. Cant say about today's frequent fliers... but a few years ago when I was hopping on jets to go from one place to the other.. I still dont remember better landings(day or night) than those on PIA.
I traveled emirates, Qatar airways, Saudia.. gulf and BA during the same period. In generally clear weather.. and all of them bumped and bounced on the runway even in 777's.. But come PIA...and be it the 737 or the 747.. you can barely feel the tires kiss the concrete.

Good to see such magnificient airlines from the subcontinent country . Will travel someday in this airline which on paper looks quite decent .
