Retorting to the reports of civilians being killed in the cross-border shelling, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday said Pakistan is post surgical strike hell bent in proving that it is a more powerful military entity than New Delhi.
Swamy predicted the downfall of Nawaz Sharif rule in Islamabad and asserted that the Asian neighbour would very soon have a Prime Minister of its army's choice, adding this will give rise to warlike situations.
"Pakistan is now a crazed nation they have been humiliated internationally they kept on irritating us causing cuts in body of India by killing a solider here and there, entering audaciously in our country and trying to create terrorist attacks. We somewhere that that they might be rational intelligent people and that if we show them our power they will become reasonable but they apparently have lost their mental balance and now are out to prove to the world that they are a superior military power than us by doing such things," said Swamy.
"As I predicted that Nawaz Sharif is on his way out, soon he will have to step down. Then the army will appoint a not a elected dummy Prime Minister like Nawaz Sharif but appointed by the Pakistan Army and then the army will literally take over the country. So these are indications that we have to prepare for war," he added.
Swamy further said it is time that India responds appropriately to Pakistan.
"This time we should deliver such a blow that instead of Pakistan in 1971 becoming two countries it should now become four countries, with all that will be left with Pakistan is the west Punjab," he said.
