Forex reserves slips to $ 15.536bn

KARACHI: Country's foreign exchange reserves have plunged by $ 470 million to around $ 15,536 billion as on June 1, 2012 on foreign payments.

According State Bank of Pakistan here Thursday, the foreign exchange reserves held by the Central Bank decreased to $ 11.244 billion while reserves held by banks dropped to about $ 4.292 billion dduring the week.

Who cares about these foreign reserves they are nothing but pieces of rubbish paperz anybody can print them...........:D

Apparently, a lot of people, especially the policy makers, do.

I know that to a layman (like you), it is nothing but trash but to anyone who understands economy, this news is meaningful and DANGEROUS to Pakistan.

It's happening in other countries too.

For example, foreign currency reserves in India have been dropping for the last 5 consecutive weeks; also, during the past few months, the value of INR to $ has dropped a massive 23% :bad: (From 44 to 56.5)

Imdont know why indians are more concern in any matter
We a small country, limited budget and finances but their all life moves only around us
