Jammu- Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Aasiya Andrabi was today booked under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), for allegedly hoisting Pakistani flag on the neighboring country’s national day on Monday.

“A case has been registered against Ms. Andrabi at Nowhatta police station under Section 13 of (UAPA),” a police officer said. He said investigations have started into the alleged hoisting of Pakistani flag, by the separatist leader on Monday. “Further action in the case will be taken as per rules,” the officer said.

A controversy erupted following media reports, claiming that Ms. Andrabi had hoisted flag of Pakistan and sung its national anthem on March 23.

Kashmiri nationalists and regular Kashmiris have always pledged loyalty to Pakistan. It's a regular occurance.

Here it happened again just a few hours ago

Kashmiri leader waves Pakistani flag at rally in Srinagar - Pakistan - DAWN.COM

A Kashmiri leader waved a Pakistani flag at a political gathering in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-held Kashmir.

According to reports in the Indian media, Hurriyat leader Masarat Alam waved the Pakistani flag on Wednesday to greet Syed Ali Shah Geelani at the rally.

Thousands of Kashmiris attended the rally, in the restive capital of state of Indian-held Kashmir, which was held as a show of strength to welcome Geelani on his return from New Delhi.

The Times of India reported that Alam also allegedly chanted pro-Pakistani slogans during the rally.

Alam was released from prison after four years on March 7 this year. Now, questions are being raised on his release and there are widespread reactions on social media platforms, demanding his rearrest.

The 47-year-old Alam, a likely successor to Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, organised Kashmiri youth to welcome Geelani on his return from New Delhi. Alam is known to use social media to spread his views and distribute audio CDs in mosques.

India reacted furiously following the show of support for Pakistan at the Srinagar rally.

National Spokesperson Bharatiya Janata Party GVL Narasimha Rao said the act was completely unacceptable.

“We expect the state government of Jammu and Kashmir, headed by Mufti Saeed, to take cognizance of the matter,” Rao added.

Earlier, Hurriyat leader Asia Andrabi had also hoisted the Pakistani flag at a political gathering in Indian-held Kashmir to mark solidarity with Pakistan on its Republic Day.

Dear Pakistani brothers,
Had I been Modi, I would have given Kashmir to you. I burn to see these vermins fattening on our tax money.

After Spending quite some time in my job in Kashmir, I have realised, These kashmiri are not loyal to anyone. Right now they might have religious affinity with you but later they will bite you back. They are free loaders and will always be like that. You will have another Baluchistan.

They are most thankless breed on this earth, I have ever met, latest example is flood fiasco. From decades GOI is spending millions in name of Civic welfare. They take it silently then come back with stones.

Young boys don't want to work, only cigarettes and girls are their priority.

Salute to Kashmiri women, extremely labourious from household job to outside work.

Men just sit idle, smoke cigarettes and drink Kawa (Kashmiri tea) and do nonsense political talk and boys don't want to work or go school, so they throw stone. That's a game for them.

For teenagers, More you create ruckus, more you impress girls. That's life in Kashmir.

Yes had it been economically, they would have stuck with India and grow and develop like 200 Million Indian Muslims.

It is only RELIGIOUSLY motivated or better say malignated.
