Pakistan fires at LoC mosque in 46th truce violation

Pakistani troops opened indiscriminate firing on a mosque Complex, destroying all the solar panels at the Line of Control (LoC) in Karna sector of Kupwara district in North Kashmir.

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, when the authorities were installing solar panels on a mosque at Chatkaryan village on the LoC. Pakistani troops objected to the panels and fired at the panels, causing damage.

The firing from across the LoC came despite the Indian army informing their Pakistani counterparts on the hotline about the installation of the solar panels.

The Indian troops did not retaliate to the firing and there was no casualty.

“We have lodged a strong protest against this ceasefire violation (with the Pakistani army),” said Lt Col JS Brar, defence spokesman.

Defence sources said the work to install solar panels was being carried out by the civil department and the field commanders had informed the Pakistani army about the same.

District commissioner Kupwara Mohommad Shafi Rather however said he has no knowledge about the incident. “It is better to contact the defence spokesman.”

Official figures reveal around 45 ceasefire violations were reported from January to November this year along the India-Pakistan border in the state.

Guns rattle LoC in Karnah

Guns rattled the fragile peace on Line of Control in Karnah sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district as Pakistan Rangers opened fire after army try to install solar lights atop a Masjid at a forward post on the dividing line.

Defence minister acting spokesman here, Col Gariwal said that Pakistan soldiers ‘violated’ the ceasefire on yesterday afternoon as they opened fire when employees of civil department were installing solar panels on the Masjid (mosque) at the forward post.

“We had informed Pakistan about it on hotline. Despite that they objected to it because they don’t want this Masjid to get light and fired few rounds,” he said, adding, “The solar panels were damaged but there was no damage to life.”

He said that Pakistan was told in “strong words” about the “ceasefire violation”. “We have taken strong note of the violation and if something (again) happens, there will be reaction from our side which they won’t like,” he added.

Oh never mind! The Pakistanis must have thought that Indian troops were installing some very high tech surveillance device manufactured by the wily DRDO with secret Israeli help, to snoop on them. Or probably a top secret high intensity laser weapon!

The news is made for indian comsumption by indian media and i dont see more than mer 10 percent truth in it.

So u can jump all over Pakistan for maybe 10 to 20 bullets fired by the troop as the fire exchange take place between both every week on regular basis.

So in that fire exchange it might have destroyed the solar panel installed on mosque ...................Nothing much get new one u have alot of money to spend plus this please buy bullet proof panels or place them beside the mosque rather on the top of it to save it ......................

Its stunning to see reactions of some pakistanis if something goes wrong in the remotest place of the world they will make a big hue and cry as they are the thekedar of the Muslims but if they have done something wrong they will never accept it or call its a conspiracy or fake


I think Mr. Hassan Nisar is the only Pakistani who have understood the mentality of Pakistan and openly admit and write about it.

Killing of innocents and raping them in Indian Occupied Kashmir by Indian Army is far far more shameful and hypocratic than firing on a building called mosque. Isn't it?

Where dii u get all this from , definately ur media right . which is there all time a hatemonger against Pakistan .

So i dont believe it , i told u both exchange fire with each other several times in a week or so it is very odd to say that Pakistani troop fired on a Mosque , by this news they are spreading more hate........

Its not exchange of fire, exchange or fire is something where 2 or more parties fires.

But in this case Indians have not retaliated its just that Pakistanis have done target shooting.

Its just a solar panel for a mosque and they have informed pakistan about it and this is a established procedure.

The Pakistan Army was just target-practicing on your solar panels. They're known to be excellent marksmen, lol.

On another note, they should release a statement to justify the shooting or issue an apology (esp. considering the fact that it was a religious building).
