LAHORE/NEW DELHI: A Pakistani anti-terrorism court on Thursday granted bail to LeT commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, charged with involvement in the Mumbai attacks.

The court granted bail to Lakhvi on a surety of Rs 5 lakh, TV channels reported.

Seven accused are facing trial in connection with the Mumbai attacks case.

LeT operations commander Lakhvi, Abdul Wajid, Mazhar Iqbal, Sadiq, Shahid Jameel Riaz, Jamil Ahmed and Younas Anjum were arrested in 2009 for their alleged role in the attacks in which 166 people were killed and over 300 injured.

They have been charged with planning, financing and executing the attacks.

The trial is taking place at a slow pace and is one of the main bones of contention in resumption of full-fledged dialogue process.

Pakistan has acknowledged that the conspiracy behind the attacks was hatched on its soil.

LeT operative Ajmal Kasab, the only surviving attacker, has been hanged by India. New Delhi has demanded that Islamabad should expedite the trial of the seven suspects to show that it is serious about countering terrorism.

how we are concerned with the mercy of the Pakistan, India need to kill its terrorist by self. and yes pakistan make india feel that any Goodwill(edited word instead mercy) show to them on killing of any kids in peshawar or else in idiotism. we neither need to so good, not bad words on killing, this is their country issue, and we are least concern, if this type judgements are passed thier.

So much for the pak judicial procedure B.S
Not the judiciary or the judicial process......
If their govt. doesn't provide the proofs which are against him......there is nothing the courts can do....

. . . . . . .
The latest news is that there was no pakistan govt's advocate to oppose the bail of lakhvi.
It is clear that pakistan govt is not serious on mumbai attacks.
And whats more irony is that pakistan PMO has said that it will oppose the decision of bail.
Are we looking Fools to them?
Muh me ram bagal me chhuri
here we are so sad about peshawer attack and there they are making fun of our peoples death.
