The politicians are worse. Much worse, in fact.

How - the only difference is that generals have to keep country intact to continue rule, that's sometime they have to take decisions which goes in country's favor, otherwise normal Pakistani is "bloody civilian" for them.

I would rather not go into a prolonged debate.

But to start off, the Politicians have so much arrogance , they don't even look at the peon or servant. Bureaucrats are even more worse.

Military men on the other hand, talk to them frankly, eat with them, and sometimes sleep with them. Although you might argue about that because in the field they have to do it. But it is part of them that they have to be a team and work with everybody. A politician thinks he is the Almighty person.

A officer is trained to be a bit aggressive, but not at all a bad or person. Officers to tend to get angry quickly, but then they still have that feeling in them that the other guy is also a human.

Now onto the officer-civilian attitude....oh leave it. Unless you don't see it, you don't get it.

@Topic - Whatever will be earned through this taxation will end up in pockets of politicians and generals and we have to pay the price in form of our beloved who will keep losing their lives in terror attacks, We have golden chance to spare us from this war of terror and eliminate internal threats which putting big question mark on our national integrity. GHQ has sold the blood of 26-brave sons of nation for $$$ and PPP will be scapegoat.

You are probably right till rank of major, not beyond that. Most of my relatives are in army even my late father was in army as well and my personal experience is opposite of what you are stating (in case of army officers), anyway leave it as it's not the topic.

these taxes should have been charged years ago. And every year they should have been evaluated, re-evaluated and increased subsequently to suit and match economical trend. It appears, from a lot of scattered information, that NATO trucks have paid next to nothing in taxes to Pak. And whatever tax bracket nato paid under was placed by Pak years ago, perhaps even at the start of this war.

You are right we could have utilized this to build ourselves by fairly charging for routes and staying natural in WOT. but that stupid commando's decisions has caused billions $ loss to our economy, made the life of people hell and still yankees are taunting us for few peanuts of aid which ended up in Swiss or Washington itself.
