ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Yukiya Amano here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif told the IAEA Director General that Pakistan was committed to nuclear non-proliferation. The prime minister said Pakistan’s nuclear power plants and research centres were working under the supervision and according to laws of the IAEA.
Prime Minister Sharif added that Pakistan was fulfilling all stipulations of the IAEA. The prime minister informed the IAEA DG that Pakistan’s nuclear programme was secure and for peaceful purposes.
