Sooner we make a headway for J10 infrastructure better it is for our survival. Indian Rafeal structure is going to take the same amount of time like our J10. We simply can't stomach the fact that the F 16 under sanctions is nothing more then a piece of metal and if push came to shove with the India we will be placed under the US sanctions. We have got no hope in hell chance to modernize our current fleet of F 16's and time and technology is moving away from us while we are standing at the gates of going broke. Since the Pulwama incident, time have moved on and Indian inventory is increasing in size and quality like there is no tomorrow, while we are at the stand still stage. Well because we wanted to go for the source plus no Chinese plane until than came close to SU-35. Plus, we wanted to improve our relations to SU-35. Even right now SU-35 only lacks AESA otherwise it's still better plane than compared Chinese ones.

This may be your personal assumptions but the fact is they can't export j-11 aka Su-27/ j-15 aka Su-33/j-16 aka Su-30MMK2 without Russian permission because design is RUSSIAN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

F-16 obsession will never end. Pakistan will take more even if they have beg for it.

As far as J-10C is concerned, it’s a logical choice. We need more 4.5 generation medium weight fighter jets to match against Rafale and SU-30.

IMHO, we should continue to make more JF-17 block 3 and eventually block 3.5/4.
250 to 300 JF-17 and 72 to 96 J-10C (split between PAF and Navy) should be good enough until other options are available.

They absolutely do have a problem selling the J-16s. This is why they never were able to offer an export version, even though it would be popular.
