Ya Ali is used by Sunnis as well although there is a large Shia population in Parachinar.

No, it is quite common in the army. We have plenty of videos of soldiers chanting that slogan.

ali is a symbol of bravery, martial prowess , power

probably that's why its a chant in the army, not sectarian in nature

Nara e Haidri Ya Ali is a Muslim slogan used hy Pak Army. Nothing to do with shiaism or secterianism

The video was taken in an area near where the Talibs cut down the border fence.

This region also consisted of bits of farmland owned by Pakistani Shia Muslims as well, and the Taliban tried to occupy this land.

Due to the FC being recruited from the region, there is a chance that they may actually be Shias.



Also, "Ya Ali" is also chanted by Sunnis, due to Hazrat Ali (RA)'s Bravery.

I cant wait for the day we have technology to dig a km wide trench along that border.
It's shocking how ungrateful nation that is, they still have over 3 million Afghans taking refuge in Pakistan, and still they continue to attack.
Teaching them a lesson is the only way they learn.

Hi, Ya Ali is a common phrase used often. Not just by shias. And yes they are speaking Pashto because they are FC.
