Pakistan’s army chief has confirmed death sentences for 11 “hardcore terrorists” after military courts found them guilty of carrying out multiple attacks that killed 60 civilians and security forces in recent years.

In a statement Saturday, the military says Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa also approved imprisonment for three people for their involvement in acts of terrorism. It says the 11 convicted Pakistani Taliban had killed 36 civilians and 24 troops in separate attacks in the country.

The trials are closed to the public but defendants are allowed to hire lawyers.

Pakistan resumed military trials for militants and lifted a moratorium on the death penalty after a 2014 attack on a school in Peshawar that killed more than 150 people, mostly young students.

Pakistan's army chief has confirmed death sentences for 11 "hardcore terrorists" after military courts found them guilty of carrying out multiple deadly attacks in recent years.

In a statement Saturday, the military said Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa also approved imprisonment for three people for their involvement in acts of terrorism.

It said the 11 convicted Pakistani Taliban had killed 36 civilians and 24 troops in separate attacks in the country.

Pakistan resumed military trials for militants and lifted a moratorium on the death penalty after a 2014 attack on a school in Peshawar that killed more than 150 people, mostly young students.

On Friday, unknown gunmen shot dead six laborers in a remote southwestern Pakistani town, officials said, in the latest bout of violence to rock the restive region.

The murders took place overnight in Lajjey, about 170 kilometers southwest of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province, where militants -- including the Taliban-- are active.

"Unidentified gunmen shot dead six laborers and wounded another, who is in critical condition," local government official Hashim Ghilzai told AFP.

No group has claimed responsibility for the killings.

Rao Anwar was used by the Politicians and some Military Officers for their gains in Karachi. Since Army keeps strong disciplinary code within so some rogue officers cannot get their objectives done, therefore they use the local police while Rao Anwar, being SSP Malir was the best to do it.

Uzair Baloch, again someone who was being used by the Politicians and was hired by Military Intelligence to exploit 2013 elections and keeping some low level insurgency in Lyari in favor of Zardari. I won't blame the whole MI but some of its Pro Zardari officers I'd say.

MQM Terorists, once again. Used by both Politicians and used by the Military in last 90s and later by Musharraf in since 2004.

If you wanna finish them, keep a low hand. If you go aggressive. Sab puranay pol khul jaengay. Military doesn't care for those old rogue officers but it's reputation. Since people blame the whole Army for the act of few.

Altaf Hussain ko KHI Airport par bhagane khud Brigadier Imtiaz aya tha. He was the one who was famous to say "Men Army chief ki bhi Patlon utarwa sakta hon". He was kind of Rao Anwar of Pakistan Army. General Asif's wife also alleged him for poisoning her spouse.
