What's new

Pakistan announces 5th-gen fighter and medium-altitude long-endurance UAV programs

Oh Really you signed billion deals with USA/Israel for induction of Drones yet you have all the capabilities to design/manufacture a drone. what an irony!

Buying it this does not mean India cant produce.

You don't have money to buy 1st class technology so you claim India can't produce. This is a very childish attitude.

After all of this innovation and hard working ur Navy rejected ur own Tajaz aircraft lol aww aww..!!

Rejecting a technology and refining it is a part of development.

By the way , it was the engine problem.

The fact is, the engine of that size is no where produced in the world and expecting a thrust to weight ratio from that size and weight of engine is like expecting a 800cc car to pull a roadroller. But if that manages to have that thrust to weight ratio.
It's going to be a great and new achievement in the area of turbine propulsion in the world.

The engine is very small in lenghth and height and it's weight is further being reduced. I don't under stand what and why do they expect so much from that small engine.

First of all don't spoil this thread and go away.

Secondly, the only india ever produced and operationalised was a tactical UAV .. whose entire fleet crashed.. so don't brag here..

And get lost.

.
Thing is that does Pakistan has money for such expensive 5th gen project. It starts with atleast $10 billion over a period of time. Pakistan's defence budget is too low. It will be war of attrition forced by India.

Pakistan has bought f16 yet it still produces JF17. Irony much.

India buys and produces its own too.

Yes we have the money. We are starting in an organized manner. Starting from building a basic infrastructure required and moving up the ladder.

listen madarsa educated arse
India is license producing f.16 lol
and you believe that India does not have tools for that? BS!

Secondly, there is enough research done on the technologies which are implemented and then system integrated. It was the government's decision not have it done due to budget allocation and priorities.

Your single university does not have modules on oxides in electronics and the research in your universities are still way behind than in Indian universities you think you can produce the technology and India cannot. Keep dreaming.

.
I think collaborating with a foreign partner and tailoring an ongoing 5th Gen program to suit our specific needs is the best way forward for PAF. But i really appreciate ACM for trying to establish local defence industry along with the off the shelf options.

And offer to assemble F-16s by US = india producing F-16.

While screwing up its own inferior LCA.

Yeah sure... now piss off and come back after you produce a UAV ... don't want to hear about your research or education;

ACM had hinted 5+ gen fighter development not 5th gen.
Besides, CAC has already developed a 5th-gen fighter, why would they want another? If CAC is to take on a new project, it would be to get ahead of the curve and take a stab at matching 5+/6th-gen programs like the Airbus FCAS.

Blah blah blah blah balh blah ..!!! keep motivating by ur self .!!! not interested in ur development theories ..!!!

Why 5th gen? Why not 5+ gen? ;)
Exactly sir. When we intend to buy some 5th gen fighter off the shelf, why would we be developing same thing in our own house? With the time frame of this project i guess PAF would be looking something more than simple 5th gen at least in case of few crucial techs.
