good job for giving a heads up to India to give Sri Lankans more grief once again.
unless there is no plan for sale and they are just trolling Indians

Sirilanka will never go for JF17 as their current President has a very weak stomach when it comes opposing India.

Forget Pakistan, India even made Sri Lanka 're-negotiate a port development deal with China for terms favourable to India.

Similarly in Nepal, India covertly intervened and removed an hostile PM and replaced him with Prachanda who according to US classified diplomatic cables released by wikileaks has stayed several times in RAW safe houses in India.

I believe Pakistan really need few international customers to keep JF17 alive and to be upgraded to block II and above, Else with only 1 sole customer PAF, it would never be a cost effective solution. India just need to deprive Pakistan with this opportunity and keep the tap tightly closed. India has enough leverage on SriLanka to do this.

According to a report there, “Prachanda secretly visited India and stayed at the Indian intelligence agency RAW guest house at Siliguri, in West Bengal, and held talks with Indian officials.” The report also took aim at the reputation of another prominent Nepali politician, Krishna Sitaula, who is general secretary of the Nepali Congress, alleging that Sitaula orchestrated the secret meeting.

Sri Lanka is well within their rights to detain fishermen poaching on Sri Lankan fishery resources.

BTW India is building two large OPVs for $75 million each for Sri Lankan navy.They will be Lanka's largest naval ships.

A strong personality from a friendly country is now personally involved in this deal.
I do believe it is 90% done already. But for obvious reasons progress made will be kept in dark untill the deal become stronger enough to survive any Indian pressure at any level.
