Pakistan airlines may soon be kept out of Indian skies - Times of India

India war drama is more like their soap drama nom sensical bull shit!

.
Let India repeat this mistake and be a victim of its own actions. After terrorist attack on Indian parliament India had closed PIA flights over Pakistan, but it felt pain of this action to a point that it wanted to resume flight as one of the first things when relationship became normal.

Well...Sky is not gifted to India only...How cheap tactics this media uses to get rating

. . .
India will try to hurt Pakistan in every possible way.

This is in their psychology, try to bully smaller neighbors in whatever it takes. See the example of Nepal.

So we should just take it with a chill pill and not pay much attention to it. Make it clear to them, every action will meet with a reaction. Let loudspeaker Modi throw more hot air around.

When they actually act, they will get the reaction.

.
Same from pakistani space as well... Mind you your air india travel obv pakisitan space when they go to dubai or in middle east or europ....rAther obv pak sea or dry land so keep doing we will keep doing the same way

.
I am fully supporting Indian action on this. They can try finding other routes to Europe, America and middleast later.

.
India is set to lose far more if such childish knee jerk reactions are taken. Over time the extra fuel adds up and puts a strain on operational costs.

Holy crap they never learn, last time they imposed a ban on PIA we retaliated since very few of our flights were affected, but cost air India extra 600 million dollars on fuel to re direct its flights.

Some of the airlines have been making this request for some time.

NEW DELHI: Indian carriers are increasingly seeking the government's nod to fly to the Gulf from western India (mainly Ahmedabad) over the Arabian Sea to avoid the circuitous route over Pakistan. Security fears due to deteriorating India-Pakistan ties+ as well as economic factors are driving the requests.

Air India, Jet Airways, IndiGo and SpiceJet operate flights to Gulf over Pakistan. "In the past few days, India has asked some non-scheduled aircraft flying from Pakistan to return and Pakistan may also retaliate. This is one fear that is behind the demand and the other is pure and simple cost factors," said an airline official.

SpiceJet has sought direct access for its flights from Ahmedabad to the Gulf under the " flexi-use of airspace+ ", which allows commercial aircraft to use the airspace reserved for air force and the navy. TOI has accessed a presentation made by SpiceJet to both defence and civil aviation ministries in this regard.

"With this not only airlines save fuel and route navigation flight charges (RNFC), our country can generate more RNFC. This will also enable reduction in carbon emissions+ which is part of global environmental saving," SpiceJet said in the presentation. The budget airline would save rupees one lakh if it is allowed direct oceanic route instead of flying over Pakistan for its Ahmedabad-Dubai flight.

Defence authorities are yet to give clearance to the direct access as it involves flying over some sensitive areas. An aviation ministry source said: "We are getting lot of requests from airlines for direct point-to-point routes and are focusing on flexi use of airspace for that. There has been significant progress on that and a lot is still to be done."
