  • Pakistan Navy Inducts Latest MPA & UAVs to Strengthen Air Operations

The Senate’s Committee also announced objectives and goals for the PAC. The PAC was directed to:
    1. Accord highest priority towards increasing the combative capacity of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) by fulfilling their requirements to thwart threats to Pakistan’s air space, borders, and sea frontiers.
    2. Systematically decrease external dependence by undertaking innovative research and evolving a self-reliance strategy.
    3. Increase the commercialization of its defensive products through comprehensive marketing campaigns. By doing so, PAC will not only generate foreign revenue, but it would help to strengthen bilateral military ties with different countries.
    4. Adopt a realistic costing system to make its products more competitive in international markets. For this, it needs to eliminate surplus manpower and logistical channels to decrease the prices of its products.
    5. Continue to provide maximum security to its defense production installations.
Taking into consideration the directions of the committee, it appears that the PAC has two tasks at its hand; first, to eliminate dependence on external assistance. Second, to increase the exports of defensive products to other countries.

Moreover, towards the end of the last year, PAC had signed an MoU with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). PAC and AVIC will manufacture commercial aircraft under the MoU. Other than this, PAC’s Project Azm is heading towards completion. Launched in 2017, Project Azm aims to add indigenously built Fifth Generation Stealth Fighter Jets in Pakistan’s military arsenal.

Both initiatives would help PAC to achieve the objectives laid down by the Senate’s Committee.

And this will be accomplished by what?.... Magic???

Lofty goals... Hope they achieve them...

But we know PeePeePee or PML-Nutcases will destroy any of these goals.
these are all achievable goals. just need to tighten the screw on the patvaris and the jiyalas. Nation's security and these bumbling inept good for nothing traitors can NO longer move forward together. they need to be exterminated...the entire national culture & thinking must be changed.

Everything else is fine but I hope I hope they don't go with AVIC's COMAC program with their partnership from Bombardier. That is an A220 rip off with B737 pedestals and igniters. Saw the cockpit at work a few months ago....

So you are saying that on 5 june PMLN came to power and by november they managed to build and launch a satellite. Whether it is technology, defence or diplomatic developments they don't just happen overnight but take years of planning. Most of our defense project were in place in musharaf era. Everyone know our civilian governments have no say in defence procurement and foreign policy matters.

. .
Back to the discussion ,

  • PAC Operations should be expanded with greater production and More R&D
  • Cost for International Market should not be an issue our focus should be on Best Product for our Needs first

.
Countries that are big exporters or exporters of big ticket items generally offer financing or other sweeteners. Pakistan will have to offer a parallel credit system, preferably barter... barter for raw materials essentially

Raw Materials Or finished goods from that country, but it looks like all of our potential customers just have raw materials we would want. Nigerian, Sudanese and Azerbaijani Oil, Malaysian Palm Oil, Egyptian Natural Gas

and Maybe Saudi Oil in the future; for a rebuilt Saudi based Yemeni Air Force; Maybe.

All that stops the leakage... Pakistan is hemorrhaging wealth due to excessive imports. All barter deals will stop the loss and start mending losses. Oil is Pakistan's largest import...

Barter trade is also good for these countries as its saves them cash as well. Pakistan can add services on top of these arms deals; maintenance , training, spare parts, munitions, and integrating the rest of their military with these defense products to get the most out of them.
