Imran Khan, chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), proclaimed victory in the recently concluded Pakistan general elections. With over 100 seats so far, Khan’s PTI has retained its considerable edge over its contenders and is eyeing independent candidates in Punjab to form their first government. With the victory, the cricketer-turned-politician is all set to become the next prime minister of Pakistan.

In his address to the nation, Khan pledged to create an Islamic welfare state to provide education, employment for the poor and fighting corruption — winning hearts of the citizen with his evocative speech and instilling hope among many worldwide. And celebrating his historic victory, Amul Diary congratulated the leader who has been dubbed a beacon of hope in the country.

The dairy brand featured the former cricketer in his signature white Pathani suit, holding a cricket ball, with his hands raised in celebration. “PakisKhan”, the Amul ad praised the “true all-rounder” — the hero of both Pakistani cricket and politics.

Khan is also Pakistan’s sole World Cup-winning captain and responsible for leading the side during 1992 cricket World Cup. Surely, winning a World Cup doesn’t mean running a country would be easy, but people are hopeful he’ll deliver once again.

Amul is an indian brand. You know something must be going very wrong for our enemies when members of the race and nation that calls for the death and destruction of the Pakistani race and nation are all of a sudden concerning themselves with who is our Prime-Minister or not.............

.
Also a butter , no ?

What is Amul? Ahh a dairy brand !

Ps. Ik even appears to be a icon in India that 'sells'. That should tell us how beneficial he will be to Pakistan as PM on the global stage. What better to give a positive image of "brand Pakistan"?.

Amul makes cartoons on various situations

They are absolutely obsessed with Pakistan

For the last few days they have had pakistani elections as headline news with live feed of results coming in, ive never seen anything like it

You know I pray for the day when people want to be called "Pakis". Inshallah it will happen one day. It is for us to build a positive image of Pakistan. I think I have said this before wherever I have travelled in UK and Europe I have always made it clear my origins. Indeed taken pride in it. And I believe if you take pride in Pakistan and face any negative perceptions in robust but intelligent manner most people will walk away with a differant view of Pakistan. The Pakistan I always sell is Harappa, Taxila, Sirkap, Mohenjo Daro, cradle of civilization, stunning landscapes, stunning people, hospitality. Go with this angle even the most vocal critical opponent of Pakistan can be disarmed.

And I think Imran Khan will cause a ripple across the globe - indeed he already has. My kids were on a Alitalia flight from Tokyo to Rome. They told me every few hours IK's image was flashing on the Tv screen. This is Italy. People there know about IK. Can the same be said about Nawaz Sharif who lacked charisma and was barely able to articulate himself. With IK we have a man who can shine brighter then the best the world can through. The world will be at IK's feet.

I have seen western media questioning IK. The print media might write rubbish about him, But up close with them every reporter melts. The women are magnetized. They just go in spell mode and give IK the easiest questions you can imagine. A good example was this interview of IK by Russian TV. Watch it. Watch the IK spell.

They are absolutely obsessed with Pakistan
True but that applicable across the world even in countries far away from Pakistan. I already mentioned Italy. I mean India is next door so it is understandable. But this IK fervour if that is right term is rippling across far and wide. Soon you meet somebody they will use IK as signature for Pakistan across the globe. This is how positive image is built. Images are actually very supercficial. Back in 1940s Italians were known as greasy monkeys with a bent to criminality and cowards through and through. Then Sophia Loren, Ferrari, Al Pacino, Godfather movies turned Italy into one of the best brands in the world.

U r right kaptan,,,have to agree with u,,,,Indai is obsessed with Pakistan, more so with this bjp govt.
He made it to a amul ad coz he is popular(probably as a cricketer) but nevertheless baniyas(specially gujju) will not make ads n spend money on non profitable ventures,,so naturally it will sell n hence my agreement.

when a neighboring country which was ruled by martial law in past goes for democratic elections third time in a row , that is real news for all . so there is no obsession .
