Panic struck Hiranagar sector of Kathua district after an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) of Pakistan was seen flying near the International Border (IB), this afternoon.

Official sources said that (UAV) of Pakistan was seen flying between Indian Border out Posts (BoPs) Chandwan and Karohal near the International Border (IB), this afternoon. The Pakistani UAV flew between Pakistani BoPs Jagwal and Chak Pappu 200 meters away from IB to keep reconnaissance of the Indian areas. The UAV, however, not crossed the IB but it flew for hours on the other side of IB.

As soon as the BSF jawans noticed the movement of UAV in the area other side of IB, they sounded alert and beefed up security along the IB.

There was possibility that the UAV might have clicked some photographs and made a video of Indian Posts or the area along the IB.

It is pertinent to mention here that some militant were waiting at the launching pads on the other side of IB waiting for an opportunity to infiltrate to this side.
