Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has emphasized further strengthening parliamentary linkages between Pakistan and Russia.

Talking to Russian Ambassador Alexey Yurievich Dedov in Islamabad on Thursday, he said Pakistan-Russia Friendship Group has been established in the National Assembly, which can play important role in creating better understanding between parliamentarians of the two countries.

The Speaker stressed the need for joint ventures in power generation and oil exploration sectors.

The Russian Ambassador said his government strongly desires to have congenial relations with Pakistan. He said Russia can help Pakistan overcome the present energy crisis.

Passing resolutions is not enough. We should promote trade and Commerce between our two countries as well as Cultural exchange should be Promoted......

Pakistan must speed up improvement in relations with Russia. Passing resolutions, creating committees will not do anything.
