Pak Embassy in Tehran attacked.

TEHRAN (SANA): Protesting against Shia-Sunni clashes of Parachinar, more that hundred Iranian attacked on Pakistan Embassy.

They held placards saying “Death to Wahabies”, “Death to Taliban”, “Death to Yazidyaat”, “Death to America” “Death to American allies”, etc.

They, in no time started raising slogans and said all what was written on the banners (Above).

Later, the demonstrators started throwing stones on the Embassy building. All the front windows were broken by the demonstrators in the meanwhile a protestor with the help of his two friends climbed at the main door of the Embassy and removed the Pakistani Flag from their. The flag was torn into pieces and was also burnt later on.

It is pertinent to mention here that all this happened in the presence of the Iranian Diplomatic and the regular police.

The demonstrators threatened the Embassy officials and shouted at them saying just come out and to see what would be done to them. The most surprising of all is that there was no condemnation of the event nor condemnation of burning Pakistani flag was seen in any Iranian news paper.

Iranian media also did not even bother to acknowledge the sad event.

This is a very odd-incident, Iranians were reportedly protesting against killings of Shia muslims in Parachinar..Protesting is just normal, but they managed to climb on top of the place, and burn the national flag of Pakistan..all the while , the local police just watching them, not trying to stop them. This incident deserves International condemnation.

The matter will be discussed and solved on Diplomatic levels between Iran and Pakistan, there is Nothing to make a Fuss about it, There are Fanatics and Extremists in every Country in the world.

You Both have Hit the Hammer Right on the Nail. There is no wonder they may have been Backed by the Indians. But Burning Pakistani Flag was TOO much I want Nice Retaliation By Pakistan, Call the Iranian Ambassador Tomorrow at Foreign Office and Protest at Diplomatic Level.

This is No way to Protest, What was Iran Doing When there own Funded Shias (Hamas) were being Massacred by the Israelis. I was Thinking Iran will Protest more than Anyone else on the contrary they were most Silent.

Do they really Know what is Happening in Parachinar ? Are they really aware of the Ground Realities there ? Do they know How GoP is Protecting the Lives of The citizens without any Discrimination on the basis of Sects but Sometimes Extremists Find their way in.

Some people seem to be laughing this off. I am incensed.

This is out of order, and seems to have collusion of the authorities, clergy and police.

How many Pakistanis protested against atrocities against sunnis in the south of Iran? How many protested at their part in the arming of groups during the 90s, that created havoc in Pakistan.

Pakistan should lodge an official complain, summon their Ambassador or something. Are we such a nation that everyoen will walk over us now?

relations bw the two countries have started improving and i guess we need to be calm. point is iran is the only shia muslim country while rest all are majority sunni muslim. their attitude will always be different than ours. we need to overcome misunderstandings and not fight over such incidents.

I guess same goes when you say Pakistan has a Shia President or founder was a Shia, You maybe Right, but You cant blame the Iranians can you? and Please, India sees strategic importance in Iran and Indians find the Iranians trustworthy & Vice versa, its not like they are in bed with us-> whatever that means!

This is Immature behaviour on the part of members to call Iran names etc just because they got issues with you. One Day Iran is Pakistans Best Friend, Next Day, They are in Bed with Indians!

Flag burning, while not strictly cricket, seems to be a national past time for some few nations.

The club to really aspire too in a way, is one in which the local populace can reduce such behaviour to a background minimum by their general scornfol presence. When it gets to that level, flag burners and embassy annoyers are easily identifiable as the "village idiots".
