Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, who
is currently living in exile in the UAE, has said that
it is difficult to control terrorism and end terror
camps operating in his country. In an interview to a private TV news channel,
former Pakistan President expressed concerns
over the rise in militancy in Kashmir and linked it
to the pullout of the US-led coalition forces from
Afghanistan, Musharraf, who had earlier announced that he
would return to Pakistan later this month to take
part in parliamentary elections, warned that
consequences of US troops’ pullout would be
dangerous for both Pakistan and India. When quizzed about his earlier commitment to
the world that he would not allow Pakistani soil
to be used for anti-India activities, he said that
the situation is fast slipping from hands and it is
growing increasingly difficult to control
insurgency. “It’s a very difficult situation that we will face..
We are already facing. When this freedom
struggle in Kashmir started in 1989, which you
call insurgency of course, then there were
multiple. There were dozens of Mujahideen
groups which erupted inside Pakistan. Now these volunteers were massive. It was not that
this is one organisation which is immediately
controllable,” Musharraf was quoted as saying. Musharraf, 69, has been living in exile in Britain
and the UAE since he resigned as the president in
August 2008, fearing impeachment by
Parliament. He had earlier on a few occasions announced he
would end his exile but postponed the plans over
concerns at his possible arrest in connection with
the 2007 assassination of former Prime Minister
Benazir Bhutto. The current National Assembly or lower house of
Pakistani Parliament will be dissolved on
completion of its five-year term and new
elections will be held within two months. The former army chief who seized power in a
coup in 1999 had said he would face courts on
return and did not care if there was a threat to
his life. In 2011, an anti-terrorism court issued an arrest
warrant for Musharraf in connection with the
assassination of Benazir Bhutto in a bomb blast.
In October 2012, a court issued a warrant for his
arrest over the killing of Baloch leader Akbar
Bugti in a military operation in 2006. Musharraf denies all charges and said he will
defend himself in courts.

until the root of the problem is solved, naturally there will continue to be a nationalist resistance

and it wont be going anyway anytime soon....in fact, the attack on 5 members of indian CPRF a few days back --it's a reminder that the anti-occupation sentiments are still existing and widespread

Root of conflict may be somewhere is not an excuse to burn down our own home. The terrorism is badly affecting Pakistan internally rather than making any contribution to liberation of Kashmir.

it's not an "excuse"

it's an underlying reason

And the fact that three school children playing cricket were injured shows how cruel these freedom fighters really are.

These "root of the problem, underlying cause are but lame excuses for some one who wants tacitly justify terrorism.

You have fairly big terrorism spin-off off your own (from two decade use of these strategic assets.)

Now their root problem for them terrorizing you people is that, they oppose your alliances with the west and want to impose sharia laws in Pakistan.
So what do say..unless the underlying cause is addressed
i.e.
Until Pakistan becomes sharia state akin to Afghanistan under Taliban and breaks all alliances with west they should be allowed to whip, stone, shoot, bomb, behead your people?

Offcourse as per your logic, any resistance against them is clearly futile until their underlying problem is addressed they will keep terrorizing you!!??

and time will come when we let those children die who were supposed to be attacked by your militants and sure those kids were kashmiris for whom you are fighting. ;)

nice logic...m confused to whom you want to save n whom to kill

Actually it means that instead of taking care of terrorists killing Pakistani people, state is still active for getting Kashmir rather than stabilizing the land they already have.

Wrong priorities have been the major reasons of Pakistan's problems. Along with intelligent and educated people like you support the policy makers and shot callers who are still focusing on Kashmir, as both care more about people of Kashmir which are much more safer than a person in Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta.

They are not facing load shedding, bomb blasts, minorities are safe, tourism has been growing but people in Pakistan wants Kashmiris to be in worst state subconsciously. It has become their aim.

Its like Mario who fights everyone to save Princess by killing the ducks, mushrooms and in the end, killing the monster. But he now don't have anything to do anymore Game is over. But no, he takes the Princess and put her in new trouble and start playing Hero again.

They have grown up believing that they are Knights in Shining Armor to save the Damsel named Kashmiri people, in distress. They have got that Hero Complex. They think Pakistanis are destined to save Muslims all around the world. being only Nuclear power in Muslim world, has given a more realistic sense of their vivid imaginations.

pakistanis want acceptance of Muslim world as Protecters of the Muslims all around the world. They want Muslim world to shower with Flowers when they save a distant nation or a region and its people feel gratitude. Its a dream they want to fulfill so they have taken this self imposed task to raise voice for Palestinians, Kashmiris. Afghan war and Bosnia war has made them certain that they can save Muslims over and over again.

Look at Pakistan's history, for whom they have fought. They fought for Kashmir, Palestine, Bosnia, Arabs in Israel-Arab war.

They made India, Russia, Israel, US, etc. their enemy.

But Pakistanis forget to know about what was happening back home. The same neighbors they once saved, are now killing Pakistanis and destroying their homeland. But Pakistanis are in denial. They can't accept that their homeland needs them much more than some other region like Kashmir.

Their denial is their biggest enemy. Inability to accept the reality, the faults of their own. They think the people who they saved them are not bad, its some other nation that has misguided them. Afghans are their brothers and US, India have misguided them. They can't see that Taliban is the real enemy, so they have Conspiracy Theories as rational reasons.

Seriously, if there was an award for SHOOTING IN ITS OWN FOOT this man would win hands down.
