SWABI: A training aircraft of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed here on Monday morning, ARY News reports.

The pilot and co-pilot remained safe in the air crash.

According to details, the PAF training aircraft was on a routine flight when it came crashing down. The two pilots ejected from the plane and landed via parachute.

Rescue teams and security teams reached the area while the pilots were taken to Bacha Khan Medical Complex in an unconscious state for medical attendance.

An eye-witness stated that the aircraft was jerking before it came down from the sky.

Thank God Pilots are safe, can someone confirm the make of aircraft down ??
The picture shows K8 but I think its because the article says training so the writer has put up this picture.

Yaar, this is about 4th thread on this crash.
Yes indeed, over 20 years of incident free service and reportedly this was a bird strike.

K-8s are impressively safe then. If it is bird hit then there is not much a pilot can do.

I would say that's an impeccable safety record for a single engine training jet. The amazing thing is that during an earlier Pakistan Day Parade, PAF had enough confidence in this jet to perform Tail slide right above the capital. And yes there's not much left for pilot to do after a bird strike, thank God both the pilots are safe for it's known that Bird strike can knock them out.
