PAF & Rafale Story Will Not Go Away !

F3R does not have Mica capability, but Pakistani Horus will. :D

Secondly F4.1 is expected by 2023 for the Armee De l'Air, and F4.2 by 2025.

India will have to wait for Armee De l'Air to get theirs first, logically speaking, but you never know.
Sir, Could you explain this in easy words ?

All I can understand is, “If Rafale isn’t a considerable threat right, Someday in the future It can be, After possible futuristic upgrades when available” ?

.
Loool and you know this how.

Pakistan trains qatar but has no access to their aircraft. How do they train them? Using paper aeroplanes?? Come on yaar they guy is a professional and you are exactly who?
The sentence “Pakistan trains Qatar” is itself the reflection of your core belief which is really non-factual.

Once again, Another fanboyistic Superior complexity approach.

How many centuries have we ourselves spent on Rafales that we train Qatar Pilots for a bird that we ourselves have no experience on ?

Our instructors are most probably restricted basic training and Subjects related to Targeting or Firing missiles/Releasing chaffs/flares, As well as radar locks.

As for Specific Aircraft type, I am sure no PAF/Ex-PAF personnel would be involved.

But, I wouldn’t ignore the possible of Qatar sending in their big guns to PAF for some theory subjects for our Big guns WRT Rafale tackle.

Kia mltba ?
Back in the day, I used to work for a number of Charter Companies, so i've been to pretty much all Bases in Iraq & Afghanistan.

I've also flown to Edeid (Qatar) & Sheikh Essa Base in Bahrain.

We used to carry Soldiers on our B737-200/300/400 back & forth.

And 'yes', i've spent quite a number of nites in those Iraq & Afghanistan Bases.

Were those flights with Meal included or should we pay 22AED for a small chicken biryani which itself is limited ?

India’s controversial acquisition of the French Dassault Rafale medium weight multirole fighter, which has mired Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP government in a serious corruption scandal due in part to the extreme costs of the platforms, has reportedly been undermined by recent reports that Pakistani pilots were given access to the aircraft and trained to operate them in France. While the primary pretext for Rafale acquisition has been to counter Pakistan, particularly in light of recent skirmishes in the air between the two countries in late February 2019, news that the Pakistani military is likely aware of the exact specifications of the fighters has dealt a serious blow to the platform’s potential viability in Indian hands. While Pakistan has no plans to operate the Rafale itself, instead relying on the upcoming JF-17 Block 3 and stealth fighters developed under Project AZM to modernise its fleet, Pakistani pilots under the Qatari Air Force were dispatched to France to train on the Rafales. The Qatari armed forces have relied on recruits from the South Asian state to operate its hardware since the 1970s, and Pakistani personnel even operated Qatari battle tanks during the 1991 Gulf War and engaged Iraqi forces on the Gulf State’s behalf. Qatar’s small population and extremely high living standards have meant that it has been unable to recruit its own citizens to serve in the front lines of its own armed forces - and much like neighbouring Saudi Arabia it has relied heavily on Pakistani assistance as a result.

Dassault Rafale Medium Fighter

Pakistani familiarity with the Rafale design, and the fact that its pilots have flown the aircraft before the first squadron was ready for service in the Indian Air Force, means that its armed forces will know the fighter's exact limitations and those of its weapons systems - allowing assets such as PL-12 equipped JF-17 fighters and HQ-16 air defence batteries to better avoid attacks from the French made platforms and more effectively neutralise them in turn. Alongside the current corruption sandal surrounding the Rafale acquisition, this could well be a key factor in preventing the Indian Air Force from pursing further acquisitions of the French fighters - which it is currently considering as part of its RFI tender for new light-medium weight fighter jets. The Indian fighter fleet, however, still remains highly capable of countering potential Pakistani attacks with its heavier and more capable fighter jets such as the Su-30MKI - which surpasses the capabilities of the Rafale across the spectrum and is capable of carrying state of the art munitions such as the R-77, R-27ER, AIM-132 air to air missiles and BrahMos cruise missile with which Pakistan's armed forces are far less familiar.

Those were Chater Flights, so no meal - only water.

The Military used to provide them with their own snacks before they boarded. Besides flights from the UAE to Qatar is hardly a flight as the cruse time is less than 30mins.

And these flights always had a Senior Officer who used to sit up front and made certain that everyone was in line. Very MILITARY Style.

Elsewhere some one gave this sarcasm.

''Our pilots have never flown, touched or seen Rafael.

Infact they close their eyes when they sit inside and take it out for a ride.

This story is confirmed by multiple Pakistani pilots who have been flying Rafael and training Qatari pilots with their eyes closed'' .
And, not only that, they also assured their Indian “friends” while in France how valuable Rafaels would be for the IAF!! And, all while enjoying Bollywood movies together over Biryani and ridiculing the “incompetence” of the French, Arabs etc...

Not that it matters, but I flew into Benghazi, 02 Days after Gaddafi was killed. Our beatup old B-37-200 was actually escorted by 02 French Rafales as their was the possibility of Surface to Air Missile Threat - similar to the DHL incident at Baghdad Airport.

We were evacuating Thai civilians at the time and took 'em to Cairo.

45 nm-------------take it nice and deep inside Indian air space.

First off, good material @Windjammer

Its a whole lot better than...

Fake Channels.jpg

The guy in the video is a an ex-PAF Shaheen and my take is that he knows more 'bout what goes on in the PAF than you or I.

Now that being said, maybe he may be throwing the viewer (IAF) off with his views, but there is no way of knowing - 100% certain if he is speaking the truth or not in regard to to PAF's access to the Rafales.

I can think of 4 guys here on PDF with direct links in the PAF. Now, at times they do lock horns on the info they receive from their source(s), but there is the possibility that their own source(s) may not know everything.

This is a Forum. Lets just discuss and move on.

Yeah, this incident happened in Baghdad back in 2003 or 2005, I think.

That's me standing next to a ex-DHL aircraft a300. Old livery back then. White with red DHL text. It was shot at from an RPG with a French Journalist covering the shootdown.

DHL.jpg

It hit the wing, where the Pilot lost all hydraulics and was a tough landing, but they made it. But also ended up in a mine field once they evacuated through the Escape Slides.

Don't worry - they survived. All 3 of them.

When I did the flight to Libya, there was a concern that the rebels who were armed may attempt something from the top of a building or open space. Which is why we had aerial support in the form of those 2 Rafales shadowing us until we landed.
