Had the Americans taken this seriously then they would've shot them down anytime they wanted to. Also asked a couple of PAF guys, there were no PAF pilots posted to Libya in the 80s. Only chaps who were flying abroad were a few guys on F-16s and T-37s at Turkey.
Really, these extracts are from the diary of a PAF pilot, reproduced on numerous occasions with the approval and confirmation of the Air Directorate or the DMA. In it the author indirectly points to the PAF's involvement in Libya during that period.

The PAF’s flight through all these years has been a journey fraught with challenges, which were met with valour, hard work and fortitude, for God and country. Whether it was flying Air Defence Missions in the Jordan Valley or the Syrian Golan heights or flying armed recce over the blue waters of Mediterranean Sea along the Libyan coast, the Pakistan Air Force came out with flying colours. For a long time the PAF was in North Africa, Central Africa and the Middle East. I remember the day when the President of one of the North African countries asked us, a handful of PAF pilots to attack and destroy a powerful fleet of one of the powers what faith and confidence in the ability of the PAF! (Of course we didn’t oblige!)

this is a new form of Predator drone that doesnt cause any impact crater, just burns the car and for good measure.. beheads the prime target as well to ensure the kill

with same respect.. this was reported by people who reached the scene and afterwords those who have military background and know how a missile or an artillery round impact sight looks like.

Please dont mislead. The PAF and the entire Pakistani ADGE does not possess the capability of shooting down a flying object with limited manoeuvrability and the RCS and cruising speed slightly higher than a Cessna 172. I swear on Rehman Malik's life and I pray he dies if I lie.

Brother, i don't think many of our readers understand Satire.

How about the Abbottabad penetration? Did they notify the Pakistani CCA?

While its true that some drones fly with Pakistani permission, it's misleading to say that all drones fly with Pakistani permission. Case in point, the killing of Mullah Mansour which formed the basis of US withholding of military aid to Pakistan and which also invited a very embarrassing diplomatic outcome for Pakistan. The Americans simply waited for mullah Mansour to enter Pakistani territory from Iran before taking him out.

In my view, there are technical challenges Pakistan faces that allow the NATO forces in Afghanistan to nullify potential countermeasures. If unchecked, the day is not too far when even your Eastern neighbor gains this qualitative edge. The sooner Pakistanis come to terms with this reality, the better for them.

you can feel that abbottabad incursion happened on its own, but i wonder where in Pakistan you can get JP5 to fuel and refuel helicopters two both ways. If you find a JP5 vendor, please let me know. Any mullah or all those buggers, all weapon releases are done with PK in the know. NO "rifle rifle" is called without the knowledge of the concerned directorates.

Or you can continue believing that US operates drones or undertakes operation without telling someone in the Pakistani administration, or that the whole anti terrorist operations is, was, and will always be sub-contracted to the US Military, or CIA in one shape or form or the other.

there are many settings on warheads and new low impact warheads that can be used for this interdiction. You don't have to look for a crater the size of mars.

and it is not necessary that all drone strikes are sent by US. Pakistan has its own UCAVs also operating. Who is killing Who, is really murky sometime.

I think most people will highly disagree with the notion that Pakistan is giving permission for these drone strikes and incursions knowing fully well the diplomatic consequences. We all know the consequences Pakistan faced in the aftermath of both OBL & Mullah Mansour's killing. Truth is the Americans came in, did their job and Pakistan was made to suffer diplomatically and pay a very huge price. A price it continues to pay to this day. Certainly, your own Abbottabad commission came to this same conclusion. Your military was caught with their pants down. This has happened too many times on the Western borders in the past few years.

Sir I still need to know about such a modern drone which can make a CAR PARKED at the SIDE OF THE ROAD shoot the missile at that car WITHOUT CREATING A CRATER in the ground & can make a PASSPORT FLY UP TO 50-60 meters from the place of incident ..... UNSCRATCHED

plz don't go in those alleys which are much darker then they appear ...

regards ....
You are making a mountain out of the molehill in this case.

ISPR spokesman (Gen. Asim Bajwa) revealed in a press conference that the army found pieces of a missile that struck that car. Do you watch ISPR press conferences?

Only arrogance wreaks from your message. Since when are governments honest to their people?

Sir,
How Will you "elaborate" shooting down of US Blackhawk and "inability" of PAF to intercept Them before & after the operation?

I think you should listen to what former AVM Shahid Lateef disclosed and had to say about all this.
Apparently, PAF fighters (F-16s) had the US Choppers in their sights, but were ordered by Zardari clan to stand down.
We know the American F/A 18s along with AWACS were patrolling the border areas anticipating the PAF response, Shahid Lateef was adamant that even if we had lost some F-16s in due course, at least the US Helicopters would have paid the price for their mis-adventure.

Not some....more likely your entire F-16 fleet along with a large chunk of your airforce. If what you say is true, then all I can say is that in this case sanity was the better part of valour, otherwise for shooting down the blackhawks, you would have been talking about PAF in the past tense.

Hardly, there were just a couple of F-16s in the air which were scrambled. The worst case scenario would be US shooting them down AFTER they had carried out their mission. If you mean that US would have followed up with strikes against PAF airfield, that would be like open declaration of war.

and what makes you think US wouldn't do that? if you shoot down a US Chooper with US personnel on board, wouldn't that be construed by them as an act of war, in addition to overtly protecting OBL? Just be grateful your political leadership was saner than your AVM, IF what you say is true. However, knowing airforce aviators very closely, and being married to one, I can tell you that while the pilots of any country are very brave, as a rule they are not stupid. Hence I have all my doubts that your AVM actually said those words
