ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman Monday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in PM House and briefed the premier about operational preparedness and training of Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

. . .
It could be for more funds for Blk 3. Acquiring new equipment. I don't think for a new fighter.

whats new its normal meeting
This is 12th meeting in past 4 months I have been following these meetings for past few years Air Chief used to hardly meet PM ever. At max 6 times in who year but for past 4 months one meeting after another and after another and after another.

Goals and strategies ,PAF is in dire state infact desperate state to buy something my guess F16 Block 52 at full payment rest is too expensive . PM already knows that there is burden of payments and as economy moves i strongly believe that PAF will not get these funds in this year since we need to arrange 8 Billion $ to IMF . (Kindly dont derail by mentioning corruption bla bla) .This is going to be the last year i think in his tenure so he wants to make some thing good for PAF I agree with his efforts .

This statement is not simple and more of a moral booster in my view e.g
In last emergency stand off with India some time in Aug/Sep lasted to Dec 2016 we lost quite a few planes

1 JF17
2 Mirage
1 F7

So operational readiness looks bleak at the moment ,only ways forward is self reliance and make JF17 / J31 no other option

This is 10 to 12 meeting in past three to four months between Air Chief and PM. If some one wants to suggest these are routine meetings no they are not. Nawaz and Air Chief never meets this often. Air Chief wants something and PM as usual is creating trouble.

@Horus @Windjammer
they are not routine but the result is the same PAF ask for fund and politicians say nope
