See defence December 2010, The USAF are retiring 36 AC 130 Spectre gunships for new builds. I often pondered the adavantages the PAF would posses if it possesd such a capability in COIN operations. I think the AC130 would represent a invaluble capability for PAF, regardless of weather the PAF where to go for the AC130 or the Chinese Y8 Gunship. I think that such a capability would benifitboth the Army and Paf as the operations on the borders are likely to go on for sometime.
