PAF aircraft on routine training sortie crashes near Shorkot

An aircraft of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) crashed near Shorkot in Punjab on Friday, Radio Pakistan reported.

The Mirage aircraft was on a routine operational training mission at the time of the incident, said a statement released by the PAF.

The statement added that the pilot ejected safely and no loss of life or property has been reported on the ground.

Two pilots martyred as PAF training aircraft crashes near Mianwali

A board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of the accident.

Last month, two PAF pilots were martyred as an FT-7 aircraft on a routine operational training mission crashed near Mianwali.

Squadron Leader Haris bin Khalid and Flying Officer Ibaadur Rehman were martyred.

Sorry for the loss and happy that no injuries or loss of life. These type of attrition is normal for any resource crunched air force including the IAF.
