I hope NAB can finally take the case to its logical conclusion. This is a man who has been getting money from Pakistan enemies to promote campaign like Amn ki Asha, Aurat march. His channel was at the forefront in proving Ajmal Kasab was a Pakistani.

When Hamid Mir was attacked, Geo ran a very vicious campaign against DG ISI. Not just that, Geo ran a very long and sustained slandering campaign against Army. Geo got disproportionate amount of government ads from Nawaz Sharif.

There are very low hopes from NAB. The courts too in Lahore and Islamabad are very soft on big thieves and criminals.

If he helped him get bail then why put him in jail in the first place. Its silly nab. Where is ahad cheema, where is khaqaan abbasi, where is ahsen iqbal and others. NAB is a tool used by whoever has power, and it in itself does not like criticism and will wrongly target people to shut them up.

As for the cases, weak evidence is one way to put it. In truth, Shahid Khaqan’s case was truly baseless, they just detained him in order to harass him, if they managed to build a case that would be a bonus for them. Of course then as you said, courts have no choice but to throw out such bs cases.

Its not for us to provide evidence. We can state things based on whats evident in public. Going by what evidence is out there, the initiatives like Amn ki Asha and journalist body like SAFMA, these were all acting against Pakistan interests. There was active connivance of one media house in those initiatives. Idiots like Imtiaz Alam, a SAFMA 'journalist', was more often invited on Geo shows to undermine Pakistan by spreading doomsday scenarios and despondency. The idea was to confuse the public and distance people from the army. Its a classic method to subdue your opponent from within and 'free' media plays a vital role in it.

Not just Geo, Pakistani media has on many occasions, through naivety or purpose, undermined Pakistan. In case of Geo, the evidence in public is enough to convince me and many others that there is a purpose to undermine Pakistan. Recently in the flour and sugar crisis, this media house has been at the forefront of spreading fake news.

Even if I provide you evidence, the type you demand, you will not be convinced.
