Burn baby burn!
Senior Majlis-e Ittihad al-Muslimin (MIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi has strongly reacted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent statement on Indian Muslims. He said that Mr Modi was pretending to be a changed man and all that he was portraying was a sham.
Meanwhile, the MIM has fully prepared itself for contesting the Maharashtra Assembly elections for the very first time. The party is fielding 23 candidates across the state, out of which 13 will contest from Mumbai and Thane alone.
“This is the paradox: On one side, innocent Muslims families were burned alive and all kind of atrocities were done to them in Gujarat under Mr Modi’s nose, and now he (Modi) is saying that Indian Muslims are patriotic,” Mr Owaisi said, questioning the Prime Minister’s intentions.
