Oh, my, if only it worked that way! But I'm a history buff and I know that peoples have many times slipped from freedom to tyranny, especially if tyranny pays well.

I might have posted this 20 times already but let me post again.

Any politician that wants to win elections in Turkey wont be stupid enough to even think about Sharia.

I didn't equate sharia with tyranny, did I? There are other routes to tyranny besides religion among them conquest, corruption, even plain old ennui.

First of all the overwhelming majority of illegal child marriages happen in South Eastern Kurdish regions, espacially in the regions with many illiterate people, secondly child marriage was never Turkish culture and thirdly yes it is a religious issue since those cases only happen in conservative parts of the socieity.

It's interesting there is a lot of talk about child marriage and child pregnancy in Turkey lately.

I have the feeling it's because of the refugees from Syria and Iraq.

Because even in conservative turkish families children don't get married until they've done their military service or finished university. They did maybe 80 years ago but not today.

I'd say 99% of the child marriages are do to kurds in the east especially the uneducated ones and syrians and iraqis and other arabs living in eastern Turkey.

I wouldn't say it's religious conservative turkish cities don't have child marriage at all. I think it's culture turkish people look negatively at child marriage while kurds in east think it's normal to be pedophile.

Yet in Iraq it is the Iraqi Kurds who protested most strongly against new laws lowering the permissible marriage age. So regardless of how Turkey's Kurds conduct themselves, it doesn't appear one can brand Iraqi Kurds with the same label, does it?

I don't know much about Iraqi kurds.

But I know a lot about kurds in eastern Turkey, they lack education too much. Many of them don't even know how to use a toilet! It's unreal, I was shocked to experience it first hand in the military. The officers had to teach the kurds how to use the toilet!!! They even called up a few kurds to demonstrate and they had no idea what a toilet was.

But no worries my kurd loving friend, we are teaching them what a toilet is in Afrin right now and there's nothing you can do about it, you americans did a major mistake by underestimating Turkey and supporting terrorists against us. Maybe we should send alquaida to Mexico and give them weapons, how would you feel about that?

I don't get child marriage, the bodies haven't even developed yet.

Let children be children and play games and have fun.

Adults marrying kids is just sick, I don't even see what they see in little girls.

Exactly, children are adorable but they don't have the body appeal which grown ups have, truth be told I will also add teenagers to the the list of unattractive people. But then again there are people out there who even get turned on by animals. Factually speaking, sick people are found everywhere, in all cultures, states, regions and religions, something contrary to the delusional bias of this Solomon fella.

I don't think Solomon is a real american, probably some immigrant in the US. Americans are much wiser than him in reality.

I once had a girlfriend when I was a teenager she herself was 15 I think I was 17.

She had a "thing" for outdoors and public sex, shed want me to do it to her in the forest, in the cinema and such. Very strange.

In my mind the best woman looks wise is 25-35 (not too old so you can have babies).

But most important thing being she must keep looking young even as she ages, there are some women like that especially some western women. They can be 50 years old but they will look like 30-35 years old. Now that is hot, this means you would have a wife that always looks hot

Mostly western brunettes seem to have this trait, not sure how to describe it really.

But if you put these girls in Turkey or Pakistan they would look same age as 35 year old, when in reality they are like 50.
