Based on a police complaint filed by Meena Kamat from Panaji, accusing the film 'PK' of hurting the sentiments of the Hindus, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), a rightwing Hindu outfit has demanded an immediate ban on the film for “hurting sentiments of Hindus by ridiculing Hindu Dharma”.

The recently released film ‘PK’ directed by Rajkumar Hirani has Aamir Khan in the lead role.

The police complaint said that the story of this film is supporting ‘Love Jihad’ and a Pakistani Muslim youth is being glorified in it. It alleged that the purpose behind producing such a film is creating confusion in Hindus’ mind and urged the police to register a case of crimes under section 153 A, along with 295 A and 34 and this film should be immediately banned.

When I saw the movie the muslims were shown blowing up a railway station and killing a very memorable character, I wonder what this 'not showing bad side of muslims' is? The whole theatre was laughing when that reuniting with Pakistani guy scene happened. That looked really lame.

Come on mate. That would be hypocrisy. Showing someone else as bad or worse does not make it okay for me.
I personally find it lame too for my reasons. As long as there's no violence, taking offence is fine.

Anyway - the image of Amir as Alien spoils the fun of seeing good sci fi movies in the future. Imagine Amir's face popping up when you think about Aliens. Issssh. Interstellar II is ruined.
