Previously in our animated historical documentary series on the Ottoman Wars, we have covered the battles of Kosovo , Nicopolis, Ankara , Varna , Second Kosovo, Constantinople , Belgrade, Targoviste and Otlukbeli , Vaslui, Valea Alba , Skanderbeg's rebellion , Breadfield, Krbava, Otranto and Chaldiran. But the Ottomans continued their expansion in the next decades.

The Mamluks were great soldiers and they achieved what no else did, they defeated the Mongol heavy cavalry in close combat

And if it wasn't for the Safavids the Ottomans would have reached deeper into Europe, Ottoman always had a nightmare scenario where they could end up fighting a war on two fronts

Safavids always pursuited for a chance when Ottomans were busy with others. Typical Persian tricks always.

War with Timur was far more damaging, it is a miracle that the Ottomans recovered from that disaster. If not for him, Bayezid would have achieved what Suleiman did a century and a half later.
