Since, assuming power in 2009, Awami League regime policy and decision made live and livelihood miserable for people from all walks of life. Economy, industry, job, media, judiciary, education, defense; none of Bangladesh aspiration, establishment and institution escaped from Awami League regime destruction. Situation has gone so bad that a leader from Awami League regime political partner publicly stated that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s advisors are indian installed puppet. In the world we live in, for a country like Bangladesh maintaining sovereignty and independence (and defense for that matter) depends more on who is running the govt than how much firepower country possess. In these backdrops, Mar 12th rally has monumental importance not only for opposition but also for people in general. People have pinned much hope on opposition to set direction for preserving Bangladesh sovereign standing and free them from Awami regime oppression.

And if we expand the view on implication from change in Bangladesh; geo politically it is quite significant. The way geo political alignment shaping up; middle-east, central asia- Afghanistan-Pakistan will be one theater and south-east and east asia will be another big theater. While Pakistan is sitting at the cross road of central asian theater, Bangladesh carry significant value for south and south east asian chess board. Therefore, political change in any of these countries between now and 2014/15 will have significant value and impact towards outcome of geo political chess board.

Having said all that, let’s observe background from last 3 years and future awaiting for Bangladesh. I would request Bangladeshi members to collect all March 12th related information under this thread.

Here are some reasons why people of Bangladesh looking at march 12th and looking for change:

Bangladesh sovereignty and independence has been surrendered to indian wishes.

LATEST SITUATION IN DHAKA:

News - 1:

Dhaka: March 11, 2012: 14:59 HRS

The High Court on Sunday issued a split verdict on a petition seeking orders against further obstruction to BNP's rally on Monday.

The bench of justices Mirza Hussain Haider and Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarker issued the verdict after hearing the petition filed by Supreme Court lawyer Ruhul Quddus Kajal.

Senior judge Haider at 2pm issued a rule while Sarker dismissed the petition.

The chief justice will now hear the petition in line with rules. But lawyers said he will send it to a third bench for hearing.

The BNP has been saying that police are arresting its leaders and activists across the country ahead of the really.

The law-enforcers have also been accused by the opposition of pressing bus operators, hotels and guesthouses in the city to suspend services to foil the rally.

DHAKA: MARCH 11 2012: 17:47 HRS

BNP has not got permission yet to set up a stage for Monday's rally in front of its Naya Paltan headquarters.

Police cordoned off the bamboos, timbers and other materials brought there to install the stage.

The contractor said his workers have been waiting since Saturday night.

"We are sitting idle despite preparations to install the stage. Police are not allowing us to do anything," BNP joint secretary-general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told reporters at the party's headquarters.

He said police deployed there said written permission was needed in this regard.

"But metropolitan police have said we are going to get permission to set up the stage," he added.

He expressed his hope that the government would let them set up the stage.

Meanwhile, the BNP leader said mass arrest continued on Sunday ahead of the rally.

NEWS - 3

The BNP headquarters at Dhaka's Naya Paltan is getting noisier as party workers and leaders gather there despite a heavy police presence.

The string of party men began with a trickle from around 11am on Sunday but by early afternoon there were thousands around the party offices, which is also the venue for the public rally on Monday.

The central point of the rally will be right in front of the party offices on the street.

POLITICAL ANALYSTS ARE SAYING, MARCH 12 MAY GIVE BIRTH TO 'BANGLA SPRING', WHICH WILL ULTIMATELY "OUST" THE PRESENT PRO-INDIAN GOVERNMENT IN BANGLADESH. :victory::chilli::yahoo::hitwall::cheesy:

Screw Bangla spring! we need a peaceful proper election that will vote this government out. Bangla spring will only lead to more blood bath!

Bangla Spring!!! a think few days ago, you people were talking about Khaleda Zia taking money from ISI. :what:

Sensing broad public discontent and support for opposition rally, Awami regime had resoted to all level of obpression and obstructions. Instruction had been given to arrest opposition leaders and supporters and halt all Dhaka bound transportation.

Minutes back, Dhaka Metropolitan Police has allowed BNP in holding their rally from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm on March 12, 2012. I am not sure, if BNP men will abide by this time frame set by the government. People are whispering in Dhaka about hundreds and thousands of BNP supporters taking a seize on the street.

why bro? you going to the rally?

Well said! Why in the world BNP should do that?

Screw Bangla spring! we need a peaceful proper election that will vote this government out. Bangla spring will only lead to more blood bath!

Bro, election is far away! If Bangladesh Awami League gets more time, they will pledge this country to India!

It is very difficult in Dhaka to hold a big rally without the government's approval, the police are very experienced on how to handle the situation in dhaka. Nothing big is going to happen!

Why should an indian care what happens in Bangladesh? We don't interfere in your internal politics, go rub your nose in your own.

Indians now think, they have their "own people" in power in Bangladesh, and possibly they think Bangladesh is a part of them now! :)

Have to wait till March 12 to conclude! Government just gave permission to hold the rally for 3 hours.

The 46th brigade and the 9th tank regiment of savar is under the control of BAL government. Any group that controls those two control Bangladesh, Bangla Spring is nothing more than a pipe dream that will only lead to adrenaline filled students dying....nothing more!

To make it successful... If the rally is postponed for three days Do you think Hasina is brave enough to block Transports for continuously five days? Or those hotels?? Nope. She can't afford to do that.... It will make the Government more nervous..

. just recieved an sms - when and where to take position tomorrow!! But it will depend on situations... Just two days ago i was enquired by a man with walkie talkie in hand near Malibag while coming back from a meeting... I had cholo cholo leaflets in my bag. Thank God he didn't check it....
