Opposition Is Bracing For A Full Showdown After Eid What Are The Prospects

First of all, there will be no protest. PML-N lacks the street power and even the ability to mobilize any relevant challenge to the Government. Remember, the march to Lahore from Nawaz Sharif. Despite mobilizing the entire Punjab Government, barely anyone came out for Nawaz Sharif.

I think bottom line is, PML-N is history. All of their leadership is facing corruption charges and the people have seen how corrupt they are. I mean, Shahbaz Sharif used to call Zardari the biggest chor of Pakistan, but now calls him Daddy to save his own corruption. PML-N at best can win maybe 30-40 seats in the next election.
Pmln is basically a middle class conservative party. It gathers its main strength from the trader community.Since the demise of PPP from Punjab the lower middle class has also joined its ranks.
Along with street protests i also see shutdowns and lock downs in the offing from Pmln. With PPP blocking the Karachi ports, highways and train lines to the Punjab. With JUI with the madrassah power Islamabad paralysis looks likely.
Unlike PTI who had resources via KPK Govt,Establishment,ATMs and other massive donations, sustaining a prolonged protest by the opposition seems like a bridge too far yet.Unless Zardari or Sind Govt play some role as they did in Baluchistan and Senate elections.

Pmln is basically a middle class conservative party.

PML-N used to be a middle class party. Now its a party that's one aim is to save the Sharif Family and their corruption. They are literally operating on the single agenda of somehow saving the corrupt money they made over the last 10 years.

It gathers its main strength from the trader community.

It used to be gather its strength from the trading community. Although the rich corrupt traders are still with PML-N, and its because of this policy the country's economy was destroyed. PML-N backed the trading community and destroyed the manufacturing industry, this is why our trade deficit is so high.

Since the demise of PPP from Punjab the lower middle class has also joined its ranks.

After the demise of PPP from Punjab, the supporters of PPP went to PTI. This is why the PTI defeated PML-N in Punjab.

Nope, nothings going to happen. PPP will never block Karachi because they have Sindh Government. They have something to loose, but PML-N and JUI-F have nothing to loose because these parties need to be in power to engage in corruption. Corruption is their lifeline, but again PML-N does not has the street power. It is a failed party, that has no future. JUI-F can at max bring 2-3K students, but it depends on PTI if they use force to remove them.
