Opinion: Ukrainian men + NATO weapons still can't beat Russia

While it is true NATO men are by now too old, fat, lazy, unhealthy to fight due to liberal decay, unlike their grandfather and father generations who fought in WW1, WW2, Korean war, Vietnam war, so they use Ukrainian men to fight. Ukrainian men are lean and mean due to centuries of warfare. Nevertheless, Ukrainian men armed with NATO weapons including hundreds of HIMARS and M777 artillery still cannot beat Russian men who are just as lean and mean due to centuries of warfare.

Ukraine is not part of NATO. So NATO does not care. NATO will be fine as long as Russians keep dying fighting the Ukranians.

Outnumbered in everything... from artillery to aircrafts to anti air systems... name anything and Russia has almost 10x the amount what Ukraine got.

Kiev is expected to receive hundreds of HIMARS by next year. They ones they have are destroyed too quickly.

Having western weapons once after the war starts isn't really a remedy.

For any military, it needs adequate training and time on any weapon system for it to be employed effectively and synergistically with the rest of the military's offensive or defensive plans.

What the Ukrainians have is too little and more importantly too late from NATO.

The Russians were always going to have an advantage since they were the better equipped, more numerous force which is able to absorb more losses than the Ukrainians.

The war will end with Russia taking over what it intends to after limiting its own goals. Nothing in the form of NATO aid to Ukraine can alter the overall Russian goals but with increased infusion of western hardware, the cost to Russians will increase and it is quite likely that by the end of the war, Ukrainians would have sufficient deterrence in place to stop further ingresses from Russia in the future.

Russia is short of soldiers, and there are only 120k Russian troops on the Ukrainian front, not more than 200k even with the East Ukrainian militia. According to Ukrainian President Zelensky, the number of Ukrainian govt troops on the front line is no less than 800k.

NATO troops lack sufficient weapons, such as British has 227 active tanks, German has 266 active tanks and French has 406 active tanks. There are 13000 active tanks in Russia.

4 is only the first batch. The US has 300 HIMARS. All of them will be sent to Kiev by next year.
