There is a proposal, to reduce the candidacy age to 18 for provincial and national assembly elections. IMHO, If it happens, it could mean more influx of young blood into the political scene.
Do you think its a good idea, discuss why or why not.

* Please participate in the poll and a civil debate

* Poll is visible and only Pakistani members are able to vote.

never... 30 should be the minimum age for participating in any poll. 18 years old should be the age for voting and 30 for candidates

This. An 18 year old doesn't have the life (let alone political or administrative) experience of a 30 year old. We don't need young politicians as much as we need an influx of the youth into the political sphere, that is, through the creation of pressure groups, involvement in administrative affairs (working for Ministeries, Parties etc.) and finally, university-based student body organizations that voice a strong, credible message from educated young people.

Furthermore, I forgot to add, that it would make it greatly easier for feudals and career-capitalists (since, the power of the feudal is only secondary to "big business" in Pakistan, or rather, their owners) to project their sons/daughters into politics, at a greatly younger age -- in short, it promotes family-based politics, where the son/daughter is only the puppet of the father/family, whom can engage in acts that otherwised allowed for representatives, while the profits will ultimately, go into the same pot.

Comeon when Akbar can become king at 13 why can anyone not become MNA at 18.

Except that his rule probably wasn't his own, and he was merely a "front man" for the administration to run under, do you really think a 13 year old managed a country/empire?

The children's during the days of Akbar (16th Century) used to participate in war games and start training to become a soldier. The children's in 21st century are busy playing video games on the internet or watching p***.

Big difference, 30 is minimum age for mature candidiate

But when a person who becomes legally major at 18 and can decide about good/bad candidate in a election to vote accordingly then he/she can rule too with the help bureaucracy and every PM/CM does same even if he is illiterate.
