Opinion poll related with Indian elections and recent standoff

I asked some Indians here (some of them are recently returned from India) about the current situation in India and they all say that Modi was loosing the elections and he is in winning position now after this standoff but he will get little majority in elections due to opposition alliance (UP results will decide) and very little chance of further escalation now.

On the other hand the Hindutwa theory of converting India into Hindu State required major victory in election to change Indian laws, let see what happen next.

Almost all my Hindu coworkers will vote for Modi now (even highly educated persons and liberals) that means Modi is in position of getting majority Hindu votes (in my personal opinion he will get major victory due to successful media propaganda) but Muslims, dalats and Sikhs might not vote him.

Indian Muslims opinion related with Pakistani peace gesture: Imran khan should not return the Pilot in hustle, BJP was in bad condition after Jets shot down by Pakistan and now they see this act as diplomatic victory because of successful pressurization of Pakistan which ends in this act.

Conclusion of my poll: Modi will win but with less Majority and little chance of further escalation.
My personal Opinion after poll: Modi will get Majority Hindu vote(due to most of the Indians are in effect of Media propaganda), If Modi/BJP are calculating less majority in elections then they will go for another round of escalation.

There is such a thing as ‘liberal’ Indians? From seeing news in last few weeks seem like the whole country is in Hindu extremist mode and minorities in each region being trodden on.

If there were liberal element in their society it would speak out. It has all hallmarks of Weimar Germany pre-Hitler, and remember most German supported Hitler until the last minute when it was clear world opinion was shifting against fascism.

tv media is not represented by all indians , these are commercial channels owned by business people .

I am all for an indian government that isn't anti pakistan and psychopaths. I want this bloodshed to end and to have a peaceful resolution take place between both countries.

I don't blame Indians that much for not trusting us after what happened in Kargil... while our politicians were resolving Kashmir issue. The traitor Musharraf backstabbed India as well as our government and was capturing disputed territory.

I still hope sense prevails again and India realizes this that peaceful resolution of this whole matter is the only way.
