Not possible, first of all they're not dominating ethnic group in Western Thrace, secondly they don't have enough numbers to be used in political conflicts, plus its too late. One thing I regret is we couldn't force Greeks to recognize them as an ethnic minority(they refuse to do that, instead they categorize all Muslims under one entity and call them Greek Muslims), they don't have any special rights, they're not even recognized as a distinct ethnicity let alone having language rights.

The muslim minority in western Thrace accounts for less than 30% of the population last time I checked. And not all of it is made up of Turks. Not to mention that the most powerful formation in the Greek Army, the IV Army Corps, has its HQ on Xanthi.

It is funny, because the EU is talking about Kurdish rights. The Kurds in Turkey can talk Kurdish, learn Kurdish, Have Kurdish Channels, Nationalistic party etc. While Greece a EU member doesnt even recognize the Turks in Greece. This is a disgrace and i think Turkey must put this in light. I dont want Turkey to take land, but i want justice. The same people who want to divide Turkey for years and didnt succeed should feel our pain to. We can threaten Greece with those Thracian Turks. They should stop supporting proxy groups in Turkey (PKK) otherwise they can taste it too.

Kurds are almost 20% of the Turkish population though. Turks are barely 1% of Greece's population. I'm not sure how accurate a comparison would be. The largest muslim party based on western Thrace got around 0.75% of the votes during the european parliament elections in May.
