I can't start a new thread, so posted my views here in the comments as this thread seems more appropriate for it.
But i want to get the debate on Democracy

Why Democracy ???????

Well, whenever I watch TV, news channel and high profiled Journalist’s program, the one thing I come to know is that the only solution to all the problems is Democratic System. And that it is very sinful to talk against democracy and that whoever becomes the biggest preacher of Democracy is the biggest intellectual.

Well there are a lot of questions that come to my mind, which I want to ask.

Why we have to preach democracy to become an intellectual, why can’t we atleast discuss it to remove any problems that it might have ? Well, I would like your opinions about my views.

My question is that why do we have to take the majority’s decision rather then the most informed decision ?

I mean, whenever we have to treat a patient, we don’t have to ask for majority’s decision from the general public, rather we go with the most informed decision. We take the decision of the persons who best knows the problem, the doctors, rather than going for the general public decision.

In accounting, engineering, teaching, every aspect of life, we take the suggestions made by the professionals rather than asking the general public and then making the majority’s decision.

Why every company has an HR dept, why can’t all companies just ask for majority’s decision in their hiring process ?

Why they have a specialized department for studying human behavior and hiring procedure? why not the majority’s decision ? Just go to all the departments, ask them to cast their votes and boom, people hired. Why to study their behavior, skills, attitude before hiring them???

And if there is special people assigned for every hiring, Why isn’t it applicable in our Government ? why can’t we make a group of people, who study it, understand it and then can give us the best possible persons for the most important posts for a country, e.g the posts of PM, CM, etc.

Once we don’t ask the view of a doctor over a construction project and we don’t ask for an engineer for a patient’s operation, both work and give their opinion in their respective field then why do we keep asking and taking suggestions from everyone for politics and political hiring?? why don’t we allow a group to work solely on this or atleast take inputs from not all but one’s who understands politics more.

If we study Islamic system(Khilafat), I think it follows the same above mentioned system, It don’t go for the majority’s decision, rather it goes with the Majlisa Shura decision, and Majlisa shura was a concept of people who were more aware of the war and politics of that time.

Well, to me Khilafat is where professionals are hired to pick the PM(Khalifa of that time) of a country and Democracy is where majority’s decision is used to pick the PM.
