NSA Leak: "Washington Is Negotiating With Every Nation That Borders China... So As To 'Confront' CN

There will a surge in demand for gold, most likely. Countries holding actual gold, not simply papers and derivatives will in the end have a greater say on the price.

Well then, start buying , buddy. I hear countries like Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia are great sources for Gold , right now.

:)

.
That will come out to light by the end of this year when China launches its own gold exchange. :)
@TaiShang ,

This is very true indeed. Earlier this year, when Germany asked the US to repatriate Germany's gold, the US was not able to do so. In the first place, Germany shouldn't have stored its gold in the US.

Therefore, I look forward to the day when China launches its own gold exchange.

Not just China, by the way. It might be a joint exchange with Russia. We will see who has real stuff and who has just papers.

Not at all.
Uncle Sam still can hire your leaders with their deep pockets and secrets if they want .:D

Sure, but only to a certain extent...and that holds true for our military nexus as well....it will be a more transactional relationship now and things that Pakistan doesn't agree to.....it won't need to agree to.....see...the way things are going, in Pakistan, no one gives a shyt about Americans or USA anymore. It is all about China.
Back in the day when we had good relationship with USA....that is pre-1980s, America was the dominant player in the world, as much as Soviet Union tried to hulk up, it was no where near USA. China was no body. In 1970s, an average Pakistani and an average Indian was much better fed and richer than an average Chinese. But the three decades since 1980s, changed all of that. China literally rose out of no where.
So back in the day it made sense to have relationship with the USA. Not today. China is here to stay, and more so when she is your immediate neighbor, meaning any relationship with China affects your region and yourself more than America ever could, from thousands of miles away.

So America can try all it wants to coerce smaller countries into it's influence, unfortunately, nations like Srilanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Tajikistan etc all are gona realize that you have more to gain from someone right next to you, than someone who is soon going to be a thing of the past sitting thousands of miles away.

History always repeats itself.

I agree for a certain extent.
But I dont agree with yours perspective about USSR.US is a Superpower .But the only nation that could stood toe to toe with the US were Soviet Union.Be in Technology ,money and military .
US is still considers Russia astheir prime rival.Even if they are just a shadow mighty Soviet Union.

But China is still relying on others for a certain extent.Economic wise .OK.
But technological wise I dont think so.
And you cant square Pakistan and other SA nation in same league.
SL,BD and others have confidence about their own nation. They dont need a big nation daily support for existence and have a lot of self respect..
Well we know Pakistan is a different case

Pakistan dont need to agree.US knows how to make you to agree.
Starts from NSA to their diplomatic power.
Latest episode was the Save Children NGO case

I read China has been buying gold like there is no tomorrow. The real amount is not known, but is said to be quite high.
Here's my theory. China, Russia is buying gold in large quantities for the past decade. Once the China Gold Exchange is up and running, the price of gold will increase dramatically which would make sense. As for US gold at Fort Knox, there hasn't been an audit done since 1953. There are speculations that Fort Knox has as much gold as Area 51 has aliens.
