Non Party Local Body Elections in Punjab

It proofs election was rigged and they are afraid to get exposed since its not that easy to rig local body elections. What a shame....

As Najam Seti in Apas ki bhat last month or so said since PMLN does not have strong base at lower level compare to PTI they will post likely loose to PTI.

And if i am not wrong it was Zia Ul Haq who did same in 1985 or 87 which brought selling and buying politicans culture and respected ppl started to stay away from election. That have we heared many times on different shows.

Give me one good reason for non party based elections ?

non party basis is a good thing please let's not politicise everything in Pakistan! its sad that water pipes drainages also will become politicised in Pakistan! for god sake keep politics out of the common man's life! & give him basic things that he lacks!

what good is party or non party election if the enough powers are not devolved to the district level government?

even a guy contesting non party can resign from his respective party and after completing the tenure can join the party again?

so there really is no need for non party when it cant achieve anything

BASIC things. I don't care if someone rejoins a party later but if he works genuinely for the people then he is good. but by keeping his political affiliation while in his post will keep him stuck to his political point scoring. but if he is in no party but works for the people then later he can go wherever he wishes once his tenure is done.

merey bhai you live in pakistan dont talk stupid, non party bases will bring more hegemoney and even if some corrupt politician does any corruption, party name will still be saved from the bad label

bhai meraay what is more important? Party or Country? I rather have someone work for the nation or area. rather than someone who is political and makes political topi drama stunts. for example look at ANP and JUI-F doing alliance in KPK inorder to make sure that in local government elections PTI loses.

clearly they don't care about the people or basic requirements they just want to make sure that they get political points.


now for you imagine this being an MQM supporter:

a person let's say an MQM lover in Larkana always wanted a chance to do something for his people. but sadly he cannot because the minute MQM name comes with him the PPP & PMLF and all join together and make sure he loses because they all ally against him.

however due to non party elections he get's a chance to win and work for his people. the benefits can be 2. 1) people of larkana will get something done for once. 2) next time after his term is over he joins MQM then for sure people will support him even if all parties ally against him. because his work will speak for itself!



so bhai non party elections throughout Pakistan will be a great thing for all the AWAAM and eventually the political parties too.

In USA the Local Body System is based on Non-Party Basis . It is the choice of the People to select any person without association with any political Party. In Party basis, sometimes, the candidate is not acceptable for voter but due to to Party-base he cast his vote and in case of non-party basis election, anybody can select a person with open mind.

Why we are afraid of corruption?. Several laws are still enacted to take action against the corruption. If anybody has any evidence, get his grievance from the Court instead of imposing his ideas. Party base or non-Party base is not a base for Honesty or Corruption. Any person can be a good man or a bad man at a time. Do not criticised others views. If you have political powers, wait for 5 years and get highest seats in Punjab and then conduct the election on party basis. Do not degrade the elected Government. Do not impose your dreams on others.
