Nobel Peace Prize Get ICANW
This year, the National Campaign for Ablish Nuclear Weapons (ICANW) has received Nobel Peace Prize in the role of nuclear disarmament.
Norway's Nobel Committee chairman Breit Rees-Anderson announced on Friday.
It was announced on 23 April and 30 April 2007 in Melbourne, Australia and in Vienna, Austria. Nonprofit organization headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland The organization operates in 101 countries with 468 assistant organizations.
The Nobel Committee has said in a statement that this award has been given for its important role in creating awareness about the consequences of humanitarian disasters that can be used in nuclear weapons. It also played a special role in stopping the use of such weapons by contract.
The draft of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons Proposal has been approved in the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly. So far 108 countries have pledged their commitment to nuclear disarmament.
