No Pakistani qualifies for Rio 2016 Olympics

What i dont understand is,why isnt there any private initiative from individuals(rich or middle class)?

There are but again in pointless sports like cricket. Lots of ex cricketers have academies running, and cricketers in general are very well paid individuals in Pakistan. There is however simply not much public interest in sports like hockey or football for big sponsors to deem it worthy to patronize these sports. Ultimately its the duty of the state to raise awareness about other Olympic sports, and maybe then private initiatives will increase. However the state has other priorities at the moment (fighting terrorism/economic recovery etc). This coupled with chronic issues like corruption and nepotism leaves little breathing space for the few brave souls who do try to venture down this path. Muhammad Waseem (boxer) is one example, he utilized all resources present and managed to win several medals in the Asian and Commonwealth games but eventually gave up due to frustration and went professional.

Look at your population and then ours, if with this big population, some are qualified from Hindiya not a big deal. just sit down its not something exceptional you have achieved. And Maria ToorPakai is Pakistani squash player.
Sure you have heard of Jansher Khan and Jahangir Khan? They were from Pakistan.

Sports? Bhai the bullshit that's going on in Pakistan has made everyone insane. Apart from unchecked corruption,Its also due to rising extremism, extremists hate sports. Specially the new breed of salafists, Taliban were big Cricket fans but the new more radical Pakistanis believe wearing Arabic skirts, keeping unruly beards and speaking Urdu in a arabic accent should be the life goal. Any kid that wants to play sports, they are discouraged.

PS: Forget about women sports, look how much noise they make over Pak women's cricket team.
