ISLAMABAD: Foreign Affairs Advisor Sartaj Aziz on Saturday said there is no hope of improvement in relations between Pakistan and India as long as Narendra Modi is Prime Minister of India.

Speaking to media, Aziz said that resolution unanimously passed by the joint session of parliament on the Kashmir issue will be circulated to Pakistan’s foreign missions for sharing with the host countries.

He said India would have to resolve the Kashmir issue if the independence movement in occupied Valley and international pressure continues.

The advisor said Pakistan would not budge from its position on Kashmir issue, adding that Pakistan is active at diplomatic fronts regarding Kashmir issue.

He said India cannot succeed to divert the world attention from the Kashmir issue through the Uri like self-staged incidents.

Sartaj Aziz said focal point of all these efforts is to show the world that entire Pakistan is united to condemn Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir and extend moral diplomatic and political support to Kashmiri people.

He said that the resolution of Kashmir dispute according to the aspirations of the Kashmiris is necessary. Replying a question, Sartaj Aziz said that India could not violate the Indus Water Treaty unilaterally.

To another question, he said there was no harm in sealing the Pak-India border as planned by India if the points of public movement and trade were maintained.

He said Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan, adding that Pakistan is following the policy of noninterference regarding Afghanistan.

He said during the Brussels conference all the participants agreed that the Afghan issue would be resolved through dialogue process.

Sartaj further said some elements did not want dialogues between Taliban and the Afghan government. He said Islamabad welcomes peace accord between the Afghan government and Gulbadin Hikmatyar.

Some PAK Diplomat who traveled to US claims , Modi will take U-Turn and relation will Improve..... Dont know which need more educations about Modi in PAK?

Its not only modi he invite nawaz and then came pakistan .sometime think otherwise its kashmir issue and terrorism also biting relations .

Forget Modi, no PM can compromise India's position on Kashmir. Kashmir is highly emotive issue for Indians, any PM that compromises India's position commits political suicide. It means India Pakistan relations can never improve if Pakistan makes Kashmir the central issue between India and Pakistan.

Can you see congress or Rahul another Nehru on Indian Occupied Kashmir issue?

This is what Mani Shankar Ayier once said, that as long as Modi is PM, there is little chance of improvement. His arguments are at least rational from Indian point of view. Right now he is arguing that how can current rising hostilities achieve India's purpose of curtailing (supposed) terrorism emanating from Pakistan, he argues that it would cause increase in militant activities.

As I said Kashmir issue is one that unifies India like nothing. Rahul or any one cannot tamper with Kashmir issue. And all political parties in India have same position on Kashmir.

There is no hope till 26/11, Pathankot and Uri are clarified.

They above issues are major hurdles, but it doesn't mean solutions to the your mentioned issue will bring improved relations between India and Pakistan. The main crux of the problem in respective positions of each country on Kashmir. There is no overlap and they are diametrically opposite.

I think you should elect Congress in imminent elections; they are the people which bring the relations on the track with us. Otherwise, no options left for you. Until “IOK “issue is not resolved.

There is no doubt it's the aggressive posture from PM Modi that has resulted in current escalations, without going into debate of whether the egg came first or the chicken. However it is clear that Modi has gone all out against Pakistan and it remains to be seen when he calls it off. He has the controls and Pakistan is in a reactive mode, caught off guards on diplomatic front at least.

But, there is a cost to the efforts he is doing and he will continue doing so as long as they are bearing good results for him. But I too personally feel these are not sustainable and hence normalcy is just around the corners
