Pakistan pays and Russia sells. JF-17 even can't takeoff if Russians refuse sell their equipment to Pakistan.
Any future equipment would go on same lines as usual.

Russia knows that if they don't sell weapons to Pakistan they will not have strategic influence on Pakistan what they need now, due to situation in ME and Ukraine, it has nothing to do in respect of India, also China will not let go it's massive investment into drain in Pakistan.

There is a reason China continuously allow PAF access to Su-30s, J10, J-11 and higher jets, they are also continuously sending J-10 & J-11s to Pakistan to test them in our environment, remember Chinese always find a way to do things and if PAF need J-11 or higher then Russia will not be able to stop Chinese.

Look Russians have very claver Business strategy for there defence industry.
Chemezov said that Russia's relationship with India has always remained very strong and fruitful.

PANAJI : The CEO of Russia's ROSTEC Corp, Sergey Chemezov, has said that Moscow has not signed any contracts and has no plans for signing any military-related deals with Pakistan.

"We are not delivering any modern aircraft and any military aircraft to Pakistan. We have made deliveries of helicopters, but those are specialised in transport and that contract has been completed," said Chemezov.

"No contracts or plans for any other military-related equipment to be delivered to Pakistan," he added.

Commenting on Russia- Pakistan joint military exercises, Chemezov said the military exercises held earlier in September this year were directly connected with modernising counter terror operations in Pakistan.

He said that the joint military exercises was important so that the nation could be prepared for fight from organisations like the ISIS, which is a global threat and is involved in spreading terrorism.

"ISIS is a global terrorist organisation, it is something that is the global danger and doesn't just involve terrorists in the Middle East but also in Russia, terrorism in India as well as Pakistan," he said.

"Therefore, joint military exercises are important but it must be noted that (they) were not in any way targeted at India or at any other conflict in the region," he added.

Chemezov said that Russia's relationship with India has always remained very strong and fruitful.

India and Russia on Saturday signed 16 agreements and three announcements in a number of fields including infrastructure, defence, ship building, science and technology and railways.

The agreements were signed in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Goa.

In a joint statement with Putin, Prime Minister Modi said the agreements on manufacturing of Kamov-226T helicopters, construction of frigates, and acquisition and building of other defence platforms are in synergy with India's technology and security priorities.

What Russia offered Pakistan in Ideas 2014, if Pakistan ordered those systems Russia will deliver them and there is list of weapons which is discussed between Russia and Pakistan and Fighter jets are amount them. Russia has said that like US they are willing to keep military relations with both India and Pakistan and not on each other's price.

Who said you it is not feasible for PAF current requirements... Along with PAF it is also useful and fit on PN requirements.

Lets search for reason....

1. Pakistan never used Russian Jets. That means if they buy only 1 or 2 SQD of jets,even then it'll need whole different line for spare parts,training and such.

2. SU-35 is damn costly aircraft,though enormously capable anything is flying in Asia.PAF,which is thinking to replace most of its jets with economy JF-17s,might not be interested for that.Also the question is,which role it'll fill??For top tier of jets,there is enough no of F-16s.Is it not more meritorious to use that money to buy Chinese 5th gens??

3. Traditionally,PAF never used 2 engine jets.

4. PN doesn't need heavier jets than PAF is flying.Hell,we're not even witnessing PN is buying JF-17s.and for which role??Heavy maritime strike aircraft role that is nonexistent??Doesn't SU-30 MK(Chinese version) fits more??

there are dozens of such reasons.An armed force doesn't buy hardware out of whim.They only buy what it needs.

I read a post regarding how India has 'grown up' and doesn't compare itself with Pakistan. Now we are getting excited about no aircraft sale to Pakistan. It is like " mama mama I am a big boy now"

Wake up man, same statements came from Russia about sale of RD-93 engines to Pakistan and now they are directly selling those to Pakistan and offered full engine overhaul and maintenance facility in Pakistan, also RD-93MA is in discussion for future block of JFT while EJ-200 is now also available from west.

India also dont used any american platform...If i am right or any Swedish platform...
Then you also have to buy whole spare parts and training will be required...will you stop for that..???
These are just rumors that we dont have $$$ ... We dont compromise on our defence and budget is enough for safety..

That is the thing of the past....you got the access to engine only because jf17 is a Chinese project...!!
Topic at hand is about the fighters...not about the components and sub components!
