No ‘divorce’ with Pakistan: US

Washington: The United States has said that it shares common strategic interests with Pakistan and ruled out the option of a ''divorce'' in their troubled marriage.

US State Department’s spokesperson Victoria Nuland said that her country has interests in Pakistan that are increasingly stable, peaceful, free of terror and democratic.

She said that the US is looking forward to the completion of Pakistan's internal review of military-to-military ties so that both countries could resume important work, The News reports.

Nuland also said that the US has had a productive relationship with the current ISI chief Lieutenant General Ahmad Shuja Pasha, adding that if there will be a change of chief, the US would have to work on establishing the same kind of ties and even take it to the next level if possible.

Americans must the be the best diplomats ever. They kill Pakistani civilians with Drone missiles at will, attack Pakistani military posts and kill Pakistani army men, send armed troops for commando operations 60 Km from Pakistani capital, accuse Pakistani state machinery of being partners with terrorists, equate Pakistani intelligence agency to a terror organization, hold congressional hearings about breaking up Pakistan into 2 nations, and still get Pakistani citizens to believe that Pakistan has an upper hand..
