PML-Q will surprise everyone in elections: Chaudhry Shujaat
KARACHI, Mar 25 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML- Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain Monday said his party will contest the upcoming elections under its own manifesto and election symbol of bicycle, as the time for uniting Muslim League factions was over. Talking to the media after attending PML-Q Sindh Parliamentary Boards meeting here, he said they have received applications for nine seats of the National Assembly and 38 seats of the provincial assembly in Sindh, and the matter will be decided by the parliamentary board, according to a PML-Q Sindh press release.
He said the PML-Q respected the mandate of every party and it will continue the policy of reconciliation. The PML-Q will surprise everyone in the May 11 elections, he added.
Chaudhry Shujaat said they will talk to the MQM on the constituencies of Karachi and several other areas.
He expressed confidence that the PML-Q will win the elections from all the four provinces.
Answering a question, the PML-Q chief said he was not in contact with former President Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf.
PML-Q Sindh President Haleem Adil Shaikh, General Secretary Babu Ghulam Sarwar Siyal and other party leaders and workers were present.
Later, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Mushahid Hussain Syed and Haleem Adil Shaikh visited the residence of late Muslim League leader Jam Yousuf and met his son Kamal Yousuf and offered Fateha.
